    Impossible believe this hotel charge about USD80 p/n and announce the property like luxury. The staff is not friendly, no manners and very rude. When we arrived the girls at the front desk just look us like nothing! Why??? because we was no-show consequence for a flight delayed, and we send ASAP an email informing the situation to the reception. Well, the never responds. The hotel looks terrible, needs maintenance urgent!! Dust, dirty, smelly, stains, and leaks around all the place. Bed linen and towels stack at the floor on the stairs or hallway. Sleep here is a odyssey between the caos of the street, the noise of the other guest, and the workers building or fix something between 7am till 9pm. AC at the room leaked all the floor, plugs are other issue (take care with your devices and yourself) Bed linen is disgusting bath towels too, stained and smelly. Probably never washed. One point here is very important and it honesty. Asking for a taxi from airport to the hotel they wanted charge USD30 about INR2000. A normal pre paid taxi from airport to new market is INR280 about USD5.00 and a taxi from JW Marriott a 5 star luxury hotel cost INR1800. So basically they want steal you. The breakfast is not continental and don't offer any eastern options more than a banana an juice, not coffee and many indian food, if you are allow to have some curry at 7am go for there. Another very important thing to considerate are the rules of the house. Rules made for the hotel where the winner always is the hotel, you can discover this only after your check in, because are on the draw at the desk ion your room. Basically the manager can go into your room, take your stuffs, and also sale it. All this without your permission. Very convenient isn't int?? Location is good if you are interesting to stay in caos, markets and see the daily life of locals, otherwise nothing attractive to stay in a dirty area.... More

    This centrally AC hotel is located at the heart of the city. There are 29 rooms and all rooms are well decorated and spacious too. Foods are very tasty. Room service is very good and behaviour of staff are pleasant. Offers Complementary buffet breakfast for all guests and welcome drink at arrival, which is tasty too. Free WiFi with decent speed. ...     Decent hotel at the heart of the city

    Located on the famous Lindsay Street, this property is on one of the most lively streets of the city. Its hard to spot the entrance. But the check is quick n easy. Rooms are neat and clean. Decent size. Bathrooms are ok. The corridor is shabby with maintenance things n furniture all around. The food is tasty. I liked it. Service very good. I had asked for wake up call and it was done. All in all I good place to stay in the heart of the city with everything near by.... More

    Very decent hotel at good rates. Right amidst the popular New Market. Breakfast is decent. Room service really good. Housekeeping is good too. Staff quite helpful with tourist information. You can walk to two metro stations from the hotel.... More

    From the moment we checked into this hotel we had problems with the manager and front desk staff. We booked a king size room with a city view through Expedia. Initially the manager tried to put us in a crummy room right off the lobby on the first floor. We refused that room and were then put in a room on the third floor (at the end of a hallway that was being used as a storage room) with two single beds. On the second day of our stay we ran into a problem with our Canadian bank account and went back to the hotel to call the bank. We asked the manager if he could assist us with an international collect call and he flat out refused. When we expressed our frustration he stood up and walked away. When we tried to get the other front desk person to help us he closed his eyes and shook his head and refused to speak to us. We tried making the call from our room but the hotel phone would not allow us to make the call. We ended up going to the Hotel Lindsay across the street and they helped us make the call to the bank. It turns out that the Hotel Lindsay has a great rooftop bar. When we checked out the manager and his front desk staff were again very rude to us. The Sapphire Suites calls itself a luxury hotel but we can assure you that it is not. The tiles in the bathroom are stained, the artwork is mouldy and the hallways are full of junk. The breakfast is also terrible with some stale bread and a couple of very questionable curries. Really, if this place was the only hotel in Kolkata we would not stay here again. ... More

  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
