The cosy stay
on Sep 6, 2017
For the first time I opted for a homestay and that too in Delhi. The experience was amazing for the past 7 days. I was welcomed by the owner and his family. The food is very homely and people at the service were amazing for their behaviour. Love experience for me, my family and my 4 year old daughter. It seemed like i extended my family at petite for their behaviour

Old British time homestay functioning under garb of hotel having only three different type of accommodations. Nice place for peaceful stay next to chief ministers residence. You can order your food from sagar ratna etc. Tea, free breakfast, homely food available. Maintenance poor but greenry plus point.

Located in an area shared with senior members of the Indian Government, very high security, police on duty 24 hours a day. Good base for touring Delhi, owners and staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
This is India, very quiet, birds singing, monkeys walking around.
Bed comfortable. linen and towels clean, facilities average, plenty of hot water.
10 minutes walking distance to the Metro.

We were booked in for 5 nights initially, but on first impressions we were very disappointed as the rooms were dirty, the bathroom in a terrible state, and many of the listed fascilities none existent, the pool was none functioning. However having spoken with the owner, things were improved. As a base for Dehli it is a little out of the main area although there is a metro near by,which is very cheap and an experience in itself! The staff are very good, providing a good breakfast.Having toured around for ten days we returned to this b/b recommendation in itself.
first impressions of this b/b,we were ready to leave, the rooms were dirty, the bathroom in a terrible state, many of the listed fascilitis none existent,we particularly wanted a pool due to the hot weather, the pool was empty and full of rubbish!althugh we were told it would only take a few hours to fix.BUT the staff ate brilliant, nothing is to much trouble
quiet place but bad service

we arrived in delhi and found this hotel to match our budget. this hotel was listed in quite a few places including incredible india. on tripadvisor it seems to have good reviews so we went ahead and booked it. the problems started right there when we were first told that we had a confirmed booking and then last minute we were told that we had to pay a 50% deposit. the hotel is mostly located in a quiet place which is very very important for us. it is mostly a residential place which kept us away from the noise of delhi. now coming to the service - we got our room which was okay but there were no towels. we had to ask three times to get the towels. the food was okay and not very spicy which was nice. but everytime we asked for room service it took a very long time. we finally decided to not eat here and go to the nearby restaurants. thankfully we didn't have to stay in delhi for long as we were starting our hill station tour. not recommended.
