The hotel is located strategically at an elevated location with a panoramic view of tea gardens of Munnar ! The rooms are spacious and convenient and the staff are helpful and friendly ! You have variety and choice of continental and Indian food options available ! Very good choice for a leisure holiday !

I have stayed in parakkat resort for three nights and it was perfect there rooms were well maintained and taken care of each and every small requirement. Food was also tasty and fabulous location. Yes this resort is 9 km behind main munnar city. But recommend travellers to stay outskirts area as mostly resorts are here only.

We were a family of 3 adults, who visited in January 2019. The hotel was stunning, from reception, to the restaurant, to the room. We had a large room with a kitchenette and "lounge area" with a large, comfortable couch. Reception staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, they did not wear name badges, so I am unable to point anybody out. Check-in and check-out were very simple. Room amenities were amply provided.
We encountered a few problems, which were fixed timeously on reporting them to reception. The toilet seat in the room was dirty on arrival, but somebody was sent up immediately to clean it. They provided an extra bed, which was brought to the room and made up shortly after arrival. This bed was hard and not very comfortable. The shower was clogging, which was reported to reception the following morning, and this was resolved by the time we got back that evening.
The breakfast was excellent, with a large variety of Indian and other foods, with something for everyone. The egg chef was inadequate, as he would forget who ordered what, and send orders to the wrong tables, so that we had to go and ask for our eggs after others received theirs before us, when they had ordered after us. The eggs were tasty though. The view from the restaurant was spectacular.
We had dinner at the restaurant on both evenings of our stay. The buffet was good value for money. On the second evening, we enquired about a prawn dish from the a la carte menu, and were told that they were giant prawns. On arrival of our food, we were served shrimps. We sent it back and were given complimentary naan while the giant prawns were being prepared. They were delicious when they finally arrived. The waitresses were slow and service was poor.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend the hotel. Mr Prakash Parakkat was at the hotel daily, and he was very friendly, which also made us feel comfortable and welcome.
