Best place to stay in Agonda!
on Feb 10, 2017
We actually planned to stay for 3 days, but finaly stayed 10 days, this place is a little paradise!
It's nice to be a little distant from the main road, then it's a bit more quiet but still you can see and hear the ocean.
The place and bedrooms are really beautiful, colorful with lots of plants. The restaurant downstairs is perfect, organic and vegan, the dishes are delightful!!
The manager and the people taking care of the place are all welcoming and smiling. =)
I definitely recommand this place and hope to stop by again sometime!
Value at a price, but what price?
on Feb 5, 2016
Booked over the internet, on arrival renegotiated the price as it was outrageous, still unhappy with what was paid. So what do you get, a series of brick units on a steep hillside, set in nice grounds with a nice view of palm trees from our room in particular.Set on the land side of the main road, quiet during the day, but at night some noise could be heard from bars etc. Our unit had a fan, a fridge en suite toilet and shower combined, there was a nice balcony but no shade so it got v. hot during the day WiFi only available in the office. The units are about 50m. from the main road, 100m. from the beach,150 m. from the town centre.
I don't know what a "lifestyle" resort is but would presume catering, activities on site, entertainment, health would feature, I am not aware of these being available.
The problem with this place is that it is surrounded by more appropriately priced alternatives which we found to be superior.
Off the main road.

Have stayed at Plam Beach on more than one occasion. Good location, nice rooms, that are being renovated during the down season this year and surrounded by nature. The manager Terry said not only that, all rooms will small refrigerators for the next season. Prices are reasonable,But higher during the high season. Check the website for high season months. There is free WI-FI but only in the rooms near the office.Hopefully all rooms will have WI-FI next season.
Terry is a friendly chap, good sense of humor, don't hesitate to ask for information or if you have any complains about your accommodations.
Agonda is still a beautiful place to have a holiday. But its quite noisy between Christmas and New Years. So plan with that in mind.
Always bargain at the shops along the road and for bike rentals.Bike rentals guys will try to pull the wool over your head, specially the ones down by the church corner.
don't go here in monsoon
on Jul 29, 2015
This place is deserted when it is not high season. Especially in monsoon there is nobody and there are no restaurants or other things closeby. we stayed here for one night and the next morning, after having no dinner at night, we went to plalolem!

We're regular guests, this was our 5th stay. However it's been some years since our last visit. I'm pleased to report that things haven't changed very much which is a good thing as there was little room for improvement. As other reviewers have said the cottages are simple but there's all you need. Comfy bed, ceiling fan, great shower (always with hot water if you want it), fridge, sunny balcony to lounge on and be visited by monkeys if you're lucky and the best bit - complete peace. Terry and the staff leave you to it. They're there
If you want them and always happy to help (and we were asked every other day if they could clean our room) but they give you plenty of space to enjoy your holiday. I think this place is a little bit of heaven!
