Stay in "The Manali Cottages"
on Nov 20, 2017
Stayed in "The Manali Cottages" from 7th Nov to 11th Nov. Excellent location amidst Apple Orchards with a fantastic view of mountains. A very peaceful location at a short distance from the Mall road ( 2 km). Enjoyed homely food and a very cooperative staff. The rooms are large and clean with a spacious balcony. In short a comfortable place to stay with value for money.
Good food great views

This cottage is situated 2 kms from mall road. Away from hassle of manali mall road. Apple orchards around. Spacious rooms with all amenities. Great views. Specially Hamta pass view. Food is good and fresh on demand. All in all great place to stay with family or friends.

I stayed there for 2 nights in July.. The room was good, cleaned, well spaced with full of cupboards. But the hotel location is very poor. It's too away from mall road with no service of transportation from there. If you have private vehicle then it is OK otherwise near hotel there is no medium of public transport. There were mosquitoes in night in the room. The hotel manager was also a bit rude. In night there is no room service. If you want water at night you may have to wait till morning.
Nice view as well a homely place to stay. Just awesome

i was visiting manali for the first time with friendds
perfect location (approx 3 kms from mall road) surrounded by hills, night full of stars ...awesome balcony with view of the valley..awesome rooms highly cooperative staff ... I love the cottage and place too.i have heard from the staff that this cottage makes snowy. there were apple trees behind though did not had chance to eat one by plucking by hand as was 15 days late but me and my friends found the place walkable from the mall took hardly 30 mins from mall walking... i shall recommend this place from market i came to know its a new property recently built may be thats why there are not much reviews here.you could relax in the balcony for the whole day and enjoy the view.
lifetime experience for me and my friends
Not a hotel but just a small villa

I visited Manali last year before start of winter and stayed in this property with my family. First of all I would like to advice that travelers should not take it as a hotel. It is small private property run by 1-2 individuals with just a target of earning money by all means.
I found rats inside the room in night over the bad/side tables and it was pathetic experience with small kids. Made a complaint too for the same but owner was not interested in listening and keep saying it is not possible.
Property is too far from the mall and without auto/car it is not possible to reach there. no option of paying by credit cards so please carry good amount of cash to clear the bills (actually no bill but handwritten paper for all the foods and snacks you consumed) and looking the behavior of owner, you can't dare to ask for permanent bill.
only positive thing during stay was food quality with fast service (though you need to compromise on quantity but that is expected with such a money minded owner).
Overall not recommended for family stay.
