    Nice, clean and comfortable for short stays

    I stayed for 3 days on a short trip to Chennai. The rooms are little small but clean and comfortable. Location wise it's pretty close to T. Nagar Market. Breakfast has regular South Indian fare, fruits and bread etc. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. There are common areas of each floor with TV, fridge, kitchenette and couches. The free WiFi provides decent speed as well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short stay place near US Consulate, T. Nagar etc.... More

    Perfect for short stay especially for corporate travellers

    I stayed at Smart Haven on September, 2014. My stay was for 1 night and its a part of my company preferred accommodation for the visitors travelling to Chennai, especially for those who want to visit US Consulate. It’s a service apartment with three floors. The location is good as it is near to T- Nagar and other main parts of the city. The hotel is about 30 min drive from Chennai Airport on a normal Monday afternoon. I got a double bedroom in a unit which has a common room cum kitchen. Each unit has 3 double bedroom, air conditioned. The common areas are air conditioned as well. Kitchen has a fridge, microwave, coffee/tea makers with creamer, sugar etc, safe drinking water etc. The bedroom is spacious with an attached bathroom. You will get a fine mattress with duvets and covers, and sufficient furniture such as a neat and good office table and chair. I found the towels are clean and fresh and bathroom was clean too. They offered a complimentary breakfast with a nice spread of toasts/eggs, South Indian dishes, and sufficient beverages such as juices, tea and coffee. For any lunch or dinner, they will provide you with a couple of door delivery food service providers and based on your preference, you can order the food (North India, South Indian, Chinese, Continental, Pizza etc.). The food was delivered for me in about 20 minutes. The staffs are helpful and friendly, and you feel in a professionally managed stay. You can find main shops in walkable distance and you will get auto/taxi just outside the hotel. Or you can contact the reception for any additional travel/food requirements. I recommend this place for leisure travellers as well. Nice and safe place for family and prices are reasonable.... More

    Smart Haven is a small property, Well maintained by hard working staff. I stayed there during my chennai visit staff is very helpful. They made my stay very perfect and i had no problem at all. Well maintained and perfect place to stay. Will recommend it to everyone good place for corporates and even family and couples. Family can stay there and feel like home. I felt like home during my stay. locating the hotel is not a tough task as you can find it easily on goggle maps or just call the hotel they will provide the directions.... More

    Date: 13 April 2014 Room No.: 102 Considering Early reviews on TripAdvisor and other portals I decided to book this hotel. It was surely a right choice. Since I was travelling on business purpose and as i needed to provide a professional cum homely ambiance to my clients I choose this hotel. We held our discussion at dormitory as long as we could with full privacy. It was really great experience. Even though its situated in prime land mark area (5 lights), my clients and even local pizza guy found difficult to locate it. But you can depend on Google Maps to locate this property. Though it is projected as business hotel, i think it can be ideal for family and couples too. PROPERTY: It has total 3 floors and each floor contains 6 Rooms. (A dormitory is shared for every 3 rooms) Each room has a AC unit, Satellite TV, Wardrobe, Study Table and a chair. Bathroom was clean and it has separate shower area. Each room has stand alone electric geyser. Dormitory/Kitchen is equipped with 4 burner Gas Stove, Micro-oven, Refrigerator, Electric Kettle, Basic Cookeries, AC, High Dining Area, 3 Couch and a table. It also has Conference hall at the ground floor with good amenities. POSITIVE SIDE: Staffs are very helpful and generous. They addressed my every request immediately. Rooms & Dormitory were clean. Amenities like refrigerator, micro-oven, Gas stove were working fine. NEGATIVE SIDE: AC at Dormitory attached with my room was not working. Upon my request, staff allowed me to use 2nd Floor dormitory for the meeting with my clients. Satellite Televisions at dormitory was running out of subscription. Water pressure in Bathroom was low. Breakfast served was average and can be improved.... More

    This is actually more of corporate guest house and not hotel. i mistook to be a hotel. All you find will be folks from some or other corporate undergoing a training and staying here. rooms were neat and clean though. Our room had some smell, and they changed it quickly on request. It serves only breakfast ( not something to talked about , very regula south indian breakfast). you would get better hotels at this price. suited more for corporate training or workshops ( with no fancy frill )...   1. The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
