    I booked and paid through Agoda and received confirmation more than 24 hrs in advance. When I arrived from the airport the guy at the desk made a phone call and then told me there is no room for me. He told me they prioritise direct bookings over online ones. No apologies, no helping to find a solution, no suggestions, just ‘piss off’ more or less. I then also had to try to get my refund from Agoda as the hotel wouldn’t issue one. Tbh, most of the OYO hotels in Chennai specify Indian citizens only and I think when I arrived to check in, they had the same policy but just weren’t honest enough to tell me. They told Agoda that they couldn’t accommodate me because they only accepted direct payments, not online ones. WTF. Different story and makes no sense. Why the heck sign up with Agoda then. Needless to say, don’t waste your time, effort or money by going here. If you’re a tourist, and particular a solo female, go to Hostel11 at elliots beach. Its exceptional. ... More

    Arrived at the hotel on our first morning in India and despite having a confirmed reservation my wife and were told there was no room for us. We were offered accommodation if we cancelled the reservation with Booking.com and booked direct with the hotel, an offer which was withdrawn when I contacted Booking.com who organised and alternative hotel.     One of the worst hotel, the reception staff doesn't even know how to speak properly. The water is very dirty. The rooms are not at all clean and even if we complain the guy in the reception says ok and never cares about it .... More

    We booked thru a friend for the nights of 27 to 30 March 13 after seeing the pictures of the hotel on Tripadvisor and boy were we disappointed. The hotel is located on a very busy and crowded Bell Street almost opposite the Mardas Cricket Club. All in all its not a street you want to be in if youre here for a holiday. The inside of the hotel is a similar story. The lobby is dirty delepidate and almost scary. Its dim lighting gives one a weary feeling. As soon as you check in you wish you hadn't but we having arrived around 7 PM and after a long journey didnt have the energy to go elsewhere. The room they gave us hit you with a stench of tobacco as soon you enter and nausea followed in minutes. A request for a non smoking room surprised the man at the front office. He perhaps wondered if there were people in this world who didnt smoke. On further request he gave us another room which smelled a little less but everything else in the room was ancient and seen better days. The TV in both the rooms was blurry and didnt work properly and there was no wifi. The hotel bar and restaurant was no different. We were told that the bar was for men and women do not go there. The hotel service staff are all from Assam and could hardly understand a word of Hindi, English or Tamil. Needless to mention here that the service was painfully slow. The pictures shown here were I assumed taken when the hotel first opened up but now the same property has a gloom all around it. So early next morning we packed up our suitcases and checked out of the hotel. We will of course not stay in this hotel ever but I wish to inform my fellow travellers that in general if they are traveling with their family then not to go for any of the hotels on this road which is dirty and very very crowded with mainly urchins.... Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
