    BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK I made a booking and for this hotel on the 30th December 2016 for a check in on 04th January 2017. Payment deducted thru Agoda on my credit card. I landed in chennai on 04th January 2017 around 10.30pm. I reached the hotel Maaris at around 11.30pm. I told the receptionist that I have made reservations and payments thru online mode. The receptionist told me that he couldn't find my reservation/name on his computer and due to his internet being down and wifi wasn't working.(Reservation made 6days) at this juncture he called his manger on the cellular . A person named Raghav mobile number 9865031913 , This person raghav informed the receptionist to request cash payment for the room and told me to refund by myself for the amount from agoda that has been deducted from my credit card . I became very pissed off , I mean where am i supposed to find cash (Indian rupees) in the middle of the night ?? And why should I make double payments ??? I insisted to talk to this Raghav. On the phone conversation he was very rude , basically he didn't even bother that he was talking to a customer. He insisted that since I made payment to agoda , I should claim from agoda , and the hotel hasn't received any payments from agoda towards my booking made 6 days ago, Thia was very UNACCEPTABLE. Even when I asked to whom I'm talking to , he refused to give his name, he kept on saying "why should I give you my name". I got his name and phone number from the receptionist . THIS IS NO WAY TO TREART A CUSTOMER . I AM ASHAMED THAT AGODA/TRIP ADVISOR HAS ADVERTISED THIS HOTEL ONLINE. A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE OF A EXPERIENCE I FOUND ANOTHER HOTEL BY MY OWN NEARBY.     there is no option for booking suite room in online, i booked through the booking.com seeing the pics of suite. and the room allocated was a small room, so dear friends the pics showing in the website is suite room and its too costly and not there in booking sites... More

    Was on a trip to South India from 22nd June till 28th June with my wife. Our 1st day was in Chennai as well as our last day. Stayed both days (22nd and 28th) in Maaris Grand. Excellent service. Front office staff were very polite and helpful. As well as house keeping and concierge. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast at Maaris was average. ... More

    Horrid service and internal systems. I had a booking voucher which said I could check in after 7am and checkout the next day before noon. When the following morning I informed I wanted to check out at 9.30am I was told I had stayed over 24 hours and had to pay for two nights!! When I queried what the checkout time in the voucher meant, they said the voucher was wrong!!! The receptionist even asked me "Have you never stayed in a hotel before?". A new hotel but clearly run by those not familiar with customer service.... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
