The Gateway of India is the most beautiful place in Mumbai. It looks pretty simple and good. The surrounding of gateway is all about water and cool. If you are in Mumbai then you have to visit the gateway.

Only good thing is the locaiton very close to the Gateway of India. Rooms are overpriced, too small in size, rather cramped. Very poor management..nobody really cares. Wifi is not available..i had a very hard time to book Olacab from here. restaurent was under construction at that time so no food. they somehow provided breakfast becuase they had to ...but just bread omelette was availble. Too bad..and not recommended for anyone at this price
Very good stay near Gateway of India

Visited the location with my friend, we visited Powai a day before. This was a whole new experience. The morning and the evening view at this place is beautiful.
A good hotel to visit, helpful staff, breakfast was tasty, rooms were a bit small but neat and tidy.
Thanks OYO for making our trip more awesome.
terrible experience with hotel and OYO customer care

My terrible experience below,
While checking in had a fight with reception for 10 minutes regarding the room. They said they have stopped giving the room showed in the pic and will give a small room for OYO customers( paying for a so called premium property why should customer face this hassle ? where are OYO standards? Lapse OYO-1, Me-0). Other party fought with OYO customer care for 20 minutes to get the room showed in the image (after a long travel who has the energy to argue with customer care, Is this a customer oriented company or some govt organization where you have to fight for what you deserve. Lapse OYO-2, Me-0). We gave up and checked in to a room which was 1/4th the size of the room showed in the image as we were really tired, had to attend an event urgently and had no patience left after argument at reception ( Lapse OYO-2, Me-1). Then came the most shocking part of the stay.

1) The hallway is so dingy, unlit and poorly ventilated, you will feel scared where have you come, not to mention two carts filled with dirty laundry right outside the lift and the broken walls are covered with polythene bags right in front of the entrance of the room. (refer pics)
2) The Room is scarily small. You don't have sufficient place to flex your hands to wear clothes. you will bang your hand to these walls.
3) The furniture too old with all corners filled with dirt. The light fixtures are rusted. (refer pics)
4) Then came the shock of my life. A 4,000 Rs premium room right next to Taj hotel has a toilet seat worse than those you find in Indian Trains. There is no ventilation in the toilet. Refer Pics
5)TV remote - Not working. AC- No remote. Fan regulator - Not working.
We were in absolute hurry. So couldn't complain and get the room changed with the hotel. Thought of doing it after coming back from the event but couldn’t as it was very late. ( Lapse OYO-3, Me-2)
Then next day had a health issue with my wife. Went to the reception and told him how terrible was our stay and requested them to let us stay for 3 more hours. They said we have to pay additional 3,000. Seriously 3000 for this terrible room for 3 more hours?
Spoke to OYO customer care and they said I have to pay 50% of my charges to extend my stay for 3 hours. In the first place you have not ensured the quality of the room you are giving and yet asking me to pay premium charges? What logic is it? Hotel people threatened me if I don’t pay, have to check out in 10 minutes. Without any option left had to pay 5,900 for this horrible room for staying less than 24 hours. This is the only point of contention. How can you charge me 50% tariff of a premium room which you have not given me in first place?
Worst part is , after all this they forgot to collect room rent from the other party who were staying with us and demanding us to pay.
Then started the arduous experience of talking to the customer care. They have ensured the issue resolution process to be a pain for the customer to avoid any redress which involves them paying for their mistakes. I have explained my issue to around 5 people and at the end they deny any remedy even though they have more lapses than mine. I feel cheated by OYO. I am deleting their app and never staying with them again.

A perfect place for business and leisure found at colaba, place is really amazing with good wifi and nice breakfast, easy to locate also lot of eateries and epic places to visit. The good thing was the prices offered by oyo rooms and the good services given. Heard a lot about the this new tie up, really liked the concept. All the best, hopefully want more such experiences in the future.
