    Wonderful staff

    Have come back to the Novatel but stayed when it was the holiday Inn. The hotel itself has a tired look about it and needs money spent on the decor and facilities but it was the staff that make it outstanding. The dining room staff in all the restaraunts were wonderful especially those in The Square where breakfast was served, even with such an influx of guests they attempted to serve everyone with a smile. As for The staff at the front desk I wish to say a massive thank you and give each of their names as they work as a team. Praful Jadhav, Diego,Alwyn D'souza,Shalaka, Shakti and Deevit. The first three were the concierge staff with Diego as it's head and the others were front desk staff. Everyone triedveryhard to please us, from the housekeeping staff who came almost immediately when I phoned down to the staff in the club lounge, thank you all for making my stay as comfortable as you possibly could. I would suggest the company that owns this hotel invest in its decor and reward the staff for their exceptional service.... More

    Relaxation trip with family

    The trip with family was quite relaxing. The check in and check out was smooth, the housekeeping staff is friendly and helpful. The food choice are amazing and plenty restaurant choice of italian, indian, chinesse, snacks etc. The view of the beach and sunset is very scenic and photo opportunities plenty. The rooms are quite comfortable. For the breakfast you need to be there early otherwise in the last half hour rush its too much huzzzle.... More

    We arrived 19th December 2017 to the hotel It was very welcoming as we entered staff friendly and respectful πŸ™πŸ™ We had a little wait but was pleasant The hotel is situated on Juhu beach so perfect for our 1 night stop over The restaurants were plentiful Indian Italians Chinese and the main restaurant too . The chef was so helpful think his name was Glen ? He was enthusiastic and knowledgable . The food was plentiful and lots of choices for all palettes . The room was spacious and we could see the sea and beach rim our window I would stay here again for sure and highly recommend them Thank you for our restful stay See you next time Sangeeta & Vinod Mistry UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§...     Room and toilet was dirty. I requested a room change but the other room was dirty as well. Windows, carpets, washbasin and couch all had stains. Hotels needs a complete renovation and better management. Location is good with private access to the beach. Would like to visit again if the hotel keeps up to it’s name. ... More

    I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in November 2017. Let's start with the positives: this is a large modern hotel (I'd say it was built in the early 90's?) right on the beach. There is a nice outside pool and an expansive outside bar area. The restaurant was a reasonable 5/10 although extortionately expensive for Mumbai. Now the not so positives: The standards at the hotel appear to been allowed to slide to a level that is just not acceptable for the Novotel brand. The front of house staff were not helpful. The whole reception area is totally chaotic with a lot of apologies being made to disgruntled guests. My colleague complained to the hotel management about the general hygiene standards of the hotel. His complaint was met with repeated apologies but no offer to remedy the situation. This attitude seems to permeate all areas of the hotel experience. The staff in the bar were downright rude. Whats-more, I was accosted by a drunk guest who challenged me to a fight. The bar staff stood by and said nothing, which left me in a very difficult situation. The rooms are extremely dirty. There was a horrible smell upon entering the room. I would expect this to be from very old, dirty carpet which was heavily stained and contained more than few cigarette burns. The bathroom was dirty, the taps were patched-up with mastic, the shower did not work properly and again there were cigarette burns on the wood fitments. The worst part about the room was the slightly musty, damp feeling. When getting into bed the sheets felt almost damp. I decided to sleep fully clothed in order to avoid having to come into skin contact with the bedding. Now, it may seem that I am being over-critical of a hotel that looks quite nice in the photos. I urge you to take a look at the hotel management's responses to negative reviews (there are a lot!). They are all the same, - "Dear #Name#, Namaste from Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach! Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused...". There is no plan to improve this run-down hotel. The management/franchisees know that this hotel does not meet the standards of Novotel, but while they can trade on the back of this brand they will, meaning that they can charge top prices for a sub-standard hotel.   5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
