Place hidden in spice plantation

Place away from munnar town, very peaceful and quiet (no cell network except bsnl but have hotel wifi). Only sound you hear is of insects and birds. Staff are very courteous and the manager is very helpful. Very much recommend this place.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The staff were incredible and did everything they could to make the stay an enjoyable one.
The location is nice and peaceful. Don’t expect a bustling atmosphere. We were able to use the bikes on the premises to explore the local area - I’d highly recommend this.
We enjoyed the morning walk through the farm which was put on by the property. We learned a lot about what grows there and even saw some wildlife.
To make the place even better, we felt it could have been cleaner in areas. For example, at meal times the table cloths were a bit dirty, with stains and crumbs. The room could have done with a new paint job as there were marks on the walls.
On the whole, we really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank the amazing staff for their hard work.

A Great Quiet Find in the Forest
on Jan 16, 2018
We are a couple of birding/photography enthusiasts who were looking for a quiet place to spend a couple of nights on our way to Kerala from Coimbatore and happily stumbled across Dew Drops. We regretted not reserving for 4 nights because everything about it was perfect for us. The room, the food, the quiet location, the jungle atmosphere, the cool hilltop air, the lack of mosquitos, the helpful staff and most of all, for us, the diversity of birds. On our two early morning walks through the thick forest we saw several great birds (Malabar Trogon, White-bellied Treepie, Racquet-tailed Drongo).
And the drive from Udumalpet to Munnar was spectacular through tea and coffee plantations, and Animalai, Chinnar and Eravikulam wildlife reserves. Absolutely worth the few hours of twisting and turning on what is almost a single lane. The 14km auto-taxi ride from Munnar cost 400 rupees.
We did not leave the premises except to walk the road through the jungle so cannot comment on what else there is to do around, or in Munnar itself. We deliberately wanted to be away from the touristy bustle of Munnar ... in fact, the deciding factor in making the reservation was the last comment about Dew Drops in the Lonely Planet Guide: "The peace here is zen but some find it a little isolated". Isolation is fine by us ;-)
We would definitely go back, but for 4 nights this time.
