    Misty Mountain Resort is located at a prime location in Munnar. It gets very crowded outside the hotel since there is a scenic spot in front of the hotel where a lot of tourist gather for pictures. The room was decent and room service was very quick. My family didn't have a good experience with the restaurant staff who didn't seem to understand food allergy issues.The menu didn't mention the ingredients included in the food item (hot and sour soup). We tried explaining to our server about the allergy but he didn't listen, put the food on our table and left. We did make a mistake of ordering the food without asking for what's in it. I think the food related issues are an easy fix and the restaurant staff can be polite about it. On the flipside, we had a wonderful experience with the front desk staff and the hotel Manager Karthik. The front desk staff offered us another room that we requested for at the last minute. Karthik arranged us the tuk tuk for local travels. He is polite and understand what customer service means. My overall experience was pretty decent and things were not far from the hotel.     Excellent views from the Hotel, good ambience, well behaved staff. The quality of breakfast superb. Hotel resturant with large choice of tasty food and reasonable price leaves not to think for going other places for dinner. The behavior of Manager was very nice.     The best thing about this resort is it's location, you will have an awesome valley view from your room window itself, the garden on the back side is amazing. We stayed here for three nights with family and liked it very much. Breakfast has all the options of south and north, dinner buffet was also good. Rooms are clean and spacious. Price is on higher end but it's worth for this location and facilities.... More

    We stayed here for 2 days during Diwali. We were on a road trip and the drive here from kochi was lovely, good roads for the most part. The hotel is conveniently located, simple and clean.     It takes 4 hours to reach Munnar from Kochi. The check in was a breeze. They offered a welcome drink but it was the lunch hour so we declined. The elevator has glass panels so you can see the outside view. This is the place to be if you want to stay in Munnar. It is situated exactly opposite the tea plantations photo point in Munnar. The tourists come to this location to click photos. We stayed in a family suite. It has a one bed with an attached corridor cum small sitting area. Only one bathroom. The room faces the tea plantation. You need not leave the room or hotel to click any photos, you can do it from the hotel itself. Room had cable TV, two sets, not all channels were available. I would have preferred more lights in the room. The bed was firm yet comfortable. The sheets were clean, fresh. The adjoining sitting area had a sofa which could have been used as an additional bed but we got an extra bed instead... more comfortable. The toilet was clean, hot water was available ...plenty. The towels were clean and fresh. Toiletries were OK..didn't felt cheap type. Only gripe was the exhaust fan was noisy.The family room (we were 3) is on the 2nd floor. Well insultaed from the outside and inside sounds. The breakfast was tasty and offered south indian dishes as well as regular bread, omelette etc. It is served in the banquet hall (the all inclusive package meals are served in this hall). There is one more dining hall which serves a la carte. The service was a bit lazy. The waiters were not much interested in describing the dishes....maybe due to the language barrier. The food taste was alright though I prefer hotter. The portions were too small...I mean really small. But we enjoyed the place. It doesn't serve alcohol but one can have it in the room. They arrange it from the nearby shop (the government controlled shop.... limited hours... there are queues for it). So my advice is to carry your own stock in Kerala. There is one more thing .. the 'Secret Garden' on the terrace. The hotel is situated adjacent to a hill and the hill slopes are converted into garden steps. You can access it from the terrace. It is a nice quiet place. From the garden, a path goes into the neglected spice plantation ... one can go trekking there or a short walk. The terrace offers the best view of the tea plantations. They do offer a log fire and music in the evening. But you need a group to enjoy it. I would rather have some snacks and drinks on the terrace in the evening. The management should consider it. You can visit tea factory, wildlife sanctuary from.here. One place nearby offers introductory live shows on Kathakali and Karali Payattu. I liked this place and recommend it. ... More

Overview

Misty Mountain Resort overlooks the tranquil tea plantation at a peaceful space in Pallivasal. The resort is seven km from the city centre and 68kms from the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, and 140kms from the Aluva Railway Station. The resort facilities include a banquet hall, conference room, karaoke facility and rooftop bonfire arrangements. Also, an entertainment centre, toddler play area, a well-equipped gym, wellness centre, Antara AyurSpa are some of the recreational amenities on board. Complimentary breakfast, free parking, wheelchair access, travel assistance, internet access, 24-hours room service, doctor on call service and in-house gift shop are some other facilities at the resort. One can stroll in the rooftop garden area or enjoy the sightseeing tours or be a part of the trekking trails, and cycling expeditions. Misty Mountain Resort is rated 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor Traveler Rating and maintains 50 rooms in total and includes Valley View Room, Valley View Deluxe Room, and Valley View Suite. Each of the room types can be booked with an option for breakfast or both breakfast and dinner.   1. The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes.
