Fantastic in every way!

Loved staying here while we were in Vashisht! It's a bit of a walk from the street but so worth it. Jasmina and her husband are so welcoming. We felt at home on day 1. The food is to die for!! We ate like kings, the basil tomato toast is soooo good! Jasmina told us all the nice places to go and gave us tips on where to go hiking for the best views of the waterfalls. Having a tea watching the sun rise over the Himalayas from the terrace is one of the most beautiful sights. Highly recommend this place.
A disaster for us

We went in low season and so were the only guests.
The guys were so lovely and we couldn't rate them highly enough. They'd aired out our room ready for us and everything was in order. Unfortunately that meant 9 HUGE spiders had found their way in but they gallantly came spider hunting late at night at our request.
The guesthouse is a little up the hill along some quiet paths which means fantastic views but we had a bad experience which resulted in us leaving that night.
On our way home from dinner at about 10pm, we set off up the path up the hill in the dark with a torch. We were quickly surrounded by a pack of aggressive growling and barking dogs resulting in my companion having a panic attack. They were barking ferociously and we were very isolated, it was truly terrifying. The place itself has about 4 large dogs which are very forthcoming and difficult for my friend with a fear of dogs to handle.
Other than our own experience, I'm sure this place is really lovely. Porridge for breakfast was fab and the dining area and chill out rooms were lovely. (Chill out room decor very grubby and stained if you mind about that).

The Guesthouse is the best choice in Vashisht! it has a fantastic view from the roof terrasse, very nice fresh food, a great staff and very clean rooms. i had one of the rooms with balcony with a great view.
This is an all round very welcoming place to stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay, the management and staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. My room was basic but clean at a very reasonable price of 150 rupees per night, there are larger rooms with views if you wish to pay more.
The food served is organic and freshly prepared, it is a good selection on the menu and reasonably priced. Their rooftop restaurant is beautifully situated, surrounded by wonderful views up towards the snow capped mountains with treecovered mountains all around and a waterfall in the distance behind the guesthouse. and to the front overlooking the River Beas valley.
Some of the evenings they have 'chill out' music being played on the roof top restaurant, where you are welcome to bring your instrument or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
