    Booked a stay at Shangri-La at the Shard for my dad's 70th birthday, and it was a sublime experience on all fronts. Gladly availed of a decadent afternoon tea and dinner at GONG and TING with gloriously sweeping views of the City, and an in-room massage and breakfast. The quality of guest service and facilities is remarkable even by Shangri-La standards. One notable aspect is the exceptional service my dad and I received at TING. After a slight misunderstanding over the prepayment of the bill, the issue was resolved brilliantly with phone calls and emails, and a wonderfully warm and attentive welcome back at TING. Many thanks Mehmet, Carlos and Thanos for taking such splendid care of us over lunch, and making my dad's birthday such as special and memorable occasion.... More

    Amazing, in every way!

    One night stay at this luxury hotel did not disappoint. From check in, where our room was immediately available, even though we were early, through to the moment we left our stay was memorable and special. The room was lovely, and of course the views are spectacular. Spacious, even with a rollaway bed, clean, modern, with every amenity you could ask for. Breakfast at Tings was delicious, good choice and staff were attentive. One night was not enough, we will be returning for sure.... Amazing Hotel! ... More

    Amazing views, Amazing staff, 14 days felt like home

    This is a very late review since I stayed in June-july 2017, but I had to write a review about my 14 nights stay in this hotel. The property is gorgeous the door men were extremely friendly and they greeted me and my mom by our names each time we entered. But the guest relations team was the best I've seen. They took into consideration that we are staying 14 days and chose a bigger size room on a lower floor so that It would be more comfortable, they also sent us sweets to our room which were delicious and it was an extremely nice touch. I believe security should be stepped up a bit even from us guests at the hotel. The breakfast was awesome they had really good tea. I do appreciate the effort that made my trip to London perfect....     Beautiful hotel, great room overlooking St Paul's to Houses of Parliament. Exceptionally clean. We ate at Ting in the evening, had a swim in the pool on 52nd floor and breakfast at Ting with everything you could ask for at breakfast. Downside was seeing reflection of people in room above but there were blinds. In summary highly recommended and would stay again.... More

    We were lucky enough to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel at the shard as a surprise for my wife birthday. From the moment we arrived i cannot fault the staff, the service and the hotel. We have never stayed in a hotel before a special as this one. We were give a beautiful room with bath and shower overlooking the Thames on the 48th floor. The views were stunning. After a night at the theatre we spent a couple of hours at the cocktail bar on the 52nd floor and again everything was first class. Breakfast in the morning once again was first class. The attention to detail and service was unbelievable and we were sad to leave. We will most definitely return and we cant thank the staff enough. They even gave my wife a present when we left as they knew it was for a birthday treat. Absolutely top class, we cant recommend the Shangri-La, enough... More

Overview

Located on the main road at the entrance of Calangute Village, this 2 Star resort is surrounded by rice fields. What's unique of this property is the fish-shaped swimming pool, which is seen from any of its 25 rooms with standard amenities. Calangute beach is 1.5 km away while airport is 45 km from the resort. A poolside bar-cum-restaurant serves a plethora of multi-cuisine delicacies to its diners. The hotel's personalized service includes sight-seeing tours and an ayurvedic massage in the parlour. Sun beds are on offer to guests, who would want to work on their tan. This accommodation in Goa also provides laundry, safe deposit locker, doctor on call and 24 hour security. The property also has a taxi counter.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
