Good place to stay on a budget. The room is tiny. The location is good. Located in a residential neighbourhood, away from main road.so quite peaceful. Food you will have to order coz they do not have any restaurants. The rooms are small

I stayed overnight in Live In Service Apartment and the experience wasn't positive. At the time of check-in the Manager insisted on a printout of the online booking voucher. The reason was that the owner believes that "Email kabhi bhi ud sakta hai"
The room is tiny but functional. However the sound of TV easily carries through the walls and causes disturbance. Another problem is that the mobile signal (Vodafone) is very poor in the area and the place doesn't have Wi-Fi !!
There is no restaurant and food has to be ordered from nearby restaurants.
Overall not a place where you would want to stay for long. Book this only if you have an early morning flight/train to catch and are able to get this place for cheap via last minutes deals/ coupons

Was travelling solo on a business trip and it was a short stay for one night only.My observations about the property are :
Located in a residential neighbourhood, away from main road.so quite peaceful.would be a good idea to give it a miss during durga puja,as a big pandal is being erected right in front of the hotel.
Situated near Menaka cinema, near Ravindra Sarovar stadium,Lake Avenue.can be a bit difficult to locate.
Booked this hotel on Yatra.com,where it was mentioned that the hotel had flexible check out time,so I sent in a request for late checkout. After the booking was confirmed,I got a call from the hotel saying that the check in time is 12:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am.I didn't have any problems with the timings, but please confirm the timings with the hotel before booking .
The hotel has no restaurant,so can't really comment on the food.
Was given a room on ground floor with no number on it.It was noisy as some kind of construction was under progress in next room.Avoid this room .The Room was small, not at all suitable for families, two persons can stay but only for a short stay.Cleanliness was of questionable standard, hair stands could be seen on the pillow and after that, I could not gather the courage to use the blanket provided.
Summing it up,it was an OK stay,as I paid around 1300 bucks for the room, which I think is a bit on the higher side. So,I would visit this property again only if I am travelling solo, short stay and on a tight budget.
basic aminities only

Stayed at Live In Service Apartment for 4 days during my recent visit to Kolkata. Rooms are small and hence would not suggest for a family. Excellent location just behind a temple and very close to Rabindra Sarobar Lake. There are some good eating joints within walking distance of 10 to 15 minutes and being a south India this was a major plus factor since Lake Market is pretty close. Hotel boys were courteous and helpful. However, there are some areas where they can do better. There is no supply of newspaper in the morning and there is only a single newspaper delivered for the entire hotel. After all the newspaper costs less than Rs.5 and I do not think this will be a major cost for delivery to all the rooms. Also hotel has not subscribed to a single TV business news channel in English which seems surprising that most of us have stock market investments and would like to know what is happening around. Overall a good stay.
