Tropical Beach Haven

We stayed at the Beach Cottages for 5 nights in November 2017, I wanted to stay close to the beach and certainly wasn't disappointed :)-. The Cottages are lovely though basic, and the aircon was a big plus after spending our days on the beach or exploring the nearby shops. The staff here could not do enough for us, and nothing was too much trouble. The Bongo Shack is a short stroll through the sand onto the beach is connected to the cottages and serves great food at very reasonable prices. The staff at the Bongo Shack are fantastic and always friendly and smiling. The resident ladies on the beach offering anything from manicures, pedicures, massages & threading were lovely and were extremely competent in applying their trade, also very reasonable prices. The beach hawkers were constant but were understanding if you said NO, in saying that I bought some lovely sarongs, gorgeous jewellery and candle holders which were sooooo cheap. You won't be disappointed staying at the Little India Cottages. We did the 4-5 **** hotels/resorts before and after our stay here, and we were just as happy staying at the Cottages.

Arriving in Calangute/Baga last week it was obviously going to be difficult to find a place to stay due to the place absolutely heaving with domestic tourists. So I tried one of my regular places first only to find that her rooms were full. She managed to find a friend of hers to help us find a room to stay...and that's how we came to stay at this gem of a place! We got a good rate on one of their cottages because I knew one of the staff there. The Kashmiri guy who checked us in was cordial, helpful and friendly.
The cottage itself was absolutely awesome with its own veranda and immaculately clean sheets and towels. The bed was sooooo comfortable! And the bathroom immaculately clean with plenty of hot water in the shower and a good water pressure, as well as soap and shampoo provided. There was even a kettle there for making a cup of tea in the morning, and menus provided for in-room dining.
Really loved this place, and was pleased to see the paving steps leading all the way down to the beach where they are obviously affiliated with Bongo shack where another few of my friends work. The whole place reminded me of Bali with its Buddha statues and room decor so I'm guessing this is where the owners got their inspiration and style from?
Checkout time of 11am is rigidly enforced. But had an awesome night's sleep staying at this quiet secluded relaxing place.

This is one place where i think everyone will enjoy staying..Fantastic location,Great Rooms and perfect hospitality.I stayed here for 3 days,as the cottages were booked so i stayed in the standard room, which is great.Just 5 minutes walk to the beach, great shack for delicious food and drinks.
The Place is covered with Green all over, rocks to walk on and sand, nothing fancy but the owner has used Nature to decorate this place. Its a Great one, highly recommended place.
There will be no network available, phone do not work here..Free wifi is provided, speed is decent

I had an amazing stay here, such a relief to find somewhere away from the chaos that has an air of charm and authenticity about it in the not so wonderful Baja beach. My host was wonderful and as a solo female traveller I felt immediately at ease. The cottage itself was spotless and very restful, all in all-I couldn't have wanted more, other than a few extra days which sadly i couldn't get as it was booked up. Advice would be to book early!
