Just came back from my 2nd stay at L'amore; the place is everything that u want on a beach holiday. Bang on the beach, nice clean rooms, a brilliant cafe churning out delicious food all day long and your private loungers on the beach. We stayed here 4 nights doing absolutely nothing and could've spent another 10! The team at L'amore is fantastic- the owner Shankarji is always ready to chat up, and his team - Sonu, Pawan, Prem, Amit & Arnab, all fun guys and always ready to help.Can't really think of anything negative, just hope they keep up the good work.I love the place.

Lovely well equipped cottages surrounded by lush vegetation and palms. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food was good but not outstanding. Cocktails were not good, but the staff were keen to get feedback, and hopefully improve.
If you are a Foreigner, this is the place to be. Indians, Look somewhere else.

Our stay was a disaster from the moment we entered. On check - in , the receptionist informs us that each one of us need to have address proof. We were 2 couples and one single lady. Even the couples needed to furnish separate address proof. We told him this does not apply to resident Indian's and if it is security they are worried about, they could take the two address proof's that we have - not every one carries address proof on a holiday ! He rudely said - we cannot check you in if not for address proof for all. Anyways, after we explained to him that the couples live in the same house (!!) he agreed. Nice start.
We had one AC room ( which had water problems perpetually) and a family cottage ( which did not have an AC : This wasn't mentioned on the website & mind you Goa heat & humidity !) - So we went to the reception and requested for a pedestal fan, the receptionist called the owner and the first Question ( judging by the receptionist response) was whether we are Foreigners or Indians. Seriously ? Anyways, post this they confirmed they will provide a fan and an hour later i found a wall fan lying at the base of our bed. I assumed maybe we were supposed to find a hammer and screws and install it ? After this i followed up with them 8 times - still no fan. Finally i said forget it, since we were heading out. Came back that night and they had opened the room and found the fan installed - this was without checking with us if they could access our room in our absence.
Post this throughout our stay there were many instances of intolerance - especially from the wait staff at the restaurant. To be fair, there were 2 boys who were really friendly - the rest behaved like they were doing us a huge favor whenever we would order something or request for something - for eg: during breakfast one of us asked for lemon - and the guy manning the buffet points to the kitchen and says " go ask over there" . There were 3 more such instances - testimony of terrible service : Maybe they assumed Indians would not tip them - well wrong assumption - the boys who were good to us got tipped well at the end of the trip - am sure the others didn't see that coming.
Bottom line, the service is one of the most terrible i have ever come across ( from the restaurant staff especially) , the food was over priced and far from decent. The only good thing about this resort is the location and views - but am sure we would find that in the numerous other resorts dotting the coast line.
Piece of advice - don't judge people by their nationality. Put your staff through basic customer services - they seriously require it !

Strongest plus point is the location of the hotel. Property is right on the beach. We had a major issue where room booked (deluxe) was not available despite we being in touch with them till last day. Arti (owner?) personally apologized to us accepting the mistake (clerical as per her). To compensate, she offered us complimentary spa services. We agreed to stay in AC cottages which were comfortable. Few minor glitches were there with the room which were resolved on our request. Restaurant food prices were on higher side. Staff was attentive and helpful. In short, there are few things which could be improved, however, you will not be disappointed if decided to stay with this property.

Sick place. Rude staff. Completely money minded jerks. Their behavior completely changes towards foreigners.
Pathetic place. Go if you want to get insulted by no courteous staff.
Never here again. Bad expensive food. Bad quality rooms. No supply of water.
