Like a home for a traveller.

I stayed at this guesthouse for 9 days. In fact, before I stayed at this guesthouse, I didn't know that I will stay that long. I thought I probably will stay at Udaipur about 2 days or something. But until I stayed at this guesthouse, I couldn't have a reason to leave. Because they treated me like a friend. They are very approachable, very friendly, very helpful and very true. They always gave me good advises about which place to go, how to get that place, which price is the local price, just everything they willing to tell me or help you. And they will invite me to go to someplace with them or share their food with me if I were there. Furthermore, they won't force guests into something to get some commission. They don't do that. I were enjoying with their company and the atmosphere which made me feel like a home.
I stayed at one of their antique room which it's inside the basement, no window but has hot water. And just 200 rupees per night. The room is very clean and confortable. I think it was very good bargain. Their food is very delicious and the chai is really good. And I love their rooftop, the design, the color of their guesthouse.
So highly recommend that guesthouse :)
Full of charm, so quiet, and really well located !

What a pleasant, quiet and happy place ! This small guest house is really my preference in Udaipur. This is the second time I come to Lake Sky guest house. What a surprise this time : everything has been freshly painted with such nice colours. It is full of charm ! They seem to have also a nice collection of colourful bedsheets !!! The room and bathroom were so clean.
I also had wonderful and generous breakfasts on the roof and sunbaths, surrounded by bougainvillea, roses... Johar is an amazing host, giving always good advices, cooking wonderfully and I felt so happy there !! I had no mood to leave anymore...
Lake Sky is really well located, at a stone's throw from the City Palace and all interesting activities, and very close to Lake Pichola (in Lal Ghat). It is also close to the small and popular streets leading to the markets.
The first impression, as you walk along the little path, from Lal Ghat, to reach the guest house, may not be excellent ; you should not stop ! Once you enter the guest house, you will probably feel really comfortable and appreciate the quiet of its host and of the place !
like home :)

We had a awesome stay at Johars little Guesthouse. The room is great and furnished with everything a traveler needs. Its very clean and good value for money! Johar, the owner, recommended us many places to go and definitely makes the best chai in India that we drank so far!!!! We felt at home and would always come back!!
Quiet, nice, simple and friendly : just perfect for me !

I was looking for a quiet place to stay and I needed to really have a rest somewhere, or feel like home every day after long walks in Udaipur. This was really a lovely and peaceful place! Very simple, just the way I like it, very clean too! At least a little and shiny-clean bathroom to feel good!
Very good sleep there, good beds. Long nights! Such a friendly welcome!
In fact, there is no more restaurant on the rooftop, but there are plenty all around.
This guest house is really well located, just behind Jagdish Temple, in the old city, and very close to City Palace.
Don't miss the entrance! You have to take a little path, from Lal Ghat (20), just on top of a notebook shop.
I stayed there two times, and I keep a very good memory of my stay!
