Bad Owner, AVOID!
on Nov 5, 2017
I️ get it, business will and want to take advantage of new India visitors. But this was just absurd. We arrived here and the staff told us they had no availability but had another location they could take us too. So we decided to follow the young boy whom walked us to the other location. This next location was more than double the price online of this place. So I️ told the owner of the second place I️ wasn’t interested.
I️ then looked online and saw there was availability at the first location and reserved a room. When I️ arrived back at location one, the owner looks at me and says, “why didn’t you let me know you would book online? We could have made you a better deal.”
So it was a rough start and in hindsight I️ wished I️ would have stayed else where as options are available but this was the decision we made. The room was dirty (even for India) and WiFi and power were constantly off or going out.
I️ would avoid, so many other options.
Nice hostel, very central

The staff make this place. We were held up with Delhi Belly for 2 days past our check out and the staff did everything possible to help us get through then get back on the road (booking new trains and stuff). The rooms were clean and nicely presented. My only gripes would be the location and shower. It is central but down an ally that can be a bit intimidating for new backpackers. The shower varied from cold to lukewarm water, never hot. Overall it's a great place!!!
Helpful and understanding staff

Everything in this place apart from the staff is disaster. Dirty rooms, dirty toilets, dirty bedsheets! Nothing unusual for this kind of places, one might say and it will be true. There are much better places in the area to spend a night or two. Will not go back there!

Kuldeep was our first experience of India. Ahead of time they arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport and he was waiting for us when we touched down.
Obviously there's massive culture shock when you come to India and as this was our first time we were a little apprehensive. However, the staff did everything they could to welcome us and make us feel at home. They talked with us, made us chai, helped us organise SIM cards for our phones, explained booking systems for trains etc. On the day we left they even let us back into our room after we checked out so that we could have a nap!
The room itself was a good size and we had our own ensuite bathroom which had good water pressure for the shower. It was quite noisy as there was no glass in the window in the bathroom but it's a capital city so it's bound to be busy and loud. The room looks a bit rundown but you can't really complain with their prices!
We couldn't get over how cheap it was and our stay here set us up for the rest of our time in India. Would highly recommend.
