Will come back here!

Such a beatiful place. The room was big and spacious. The interior design is lovely. Very clean. The staff were very friendly. They sell cold bottled water downstairs 24/7 so we didnt have to look around for that.
True Heritage Vibe!

The palace was amazing, stands true to its name. It is run by a family who stays there itself and are very accommodating and welcoming. Building looks like a real palace. Food was also good. Staff was helpfull and courteous espically the guy at the restaurant and at reception sometimes.
The only thing we didn’t like was we couldn’t get the free pickup from train station as mentioned because the diver was not available at that time(reason given by the hotel) otherwise me and my friends loved our stay. Will visit again and recommend to others. Cheers!
This palace has seen better days.

The hotel was not convenient to anything in town or any of the sites although it was a fairly short ride to the train station. There was no AC on the room... it was so hot we could barely sleep. There was a fan but it just swirled hot air. Mattresses were thin and hard. Food cooked in a neighboring home was ok and served on a nice patio. Shower was decent but it desperately needed some Scrubbing Bubbles to clean all the tiles. The room was dusty and was not cleaned during our stay. Electrical work (see photo) is careless. Most of the photos make the hotel look better than it is.

my review is in two parts, people and property.
The people, (staff), are in the main very friendly and helpful. Booking in and out was easy and they even helped us with a taxi to the airport.
The property, well that's another kettle of fish entirely.
Our room was not as we imagined it when we booked this online. The photos make the place look something it isn't.
From the outside it's 'all fur coat and no nickers'. The looks outside, the central light well, the roof top restaurant, they all look great. But once you are inside your room!!!
Let me explain. The sheets were a nice light grey colour of being washed a million times.
The bed wasn't made up, (nor the room serviced for the entire time we were there), as this is very much a DIY place.
The A/C was in the window type and made so much noise it couldn't be used at night - but it worked very well in dropping the temperature.
The ceiling fan competed with the A/C for who could make the most noise and somewhat worryingly the controller was over heating and burning the switch housing. (plus there's no smoke detection in the room!)
There's NO FRIDGE! I mean honestly, no fridge - in India???
The TV didn't work - mind you not that it mattered as it was an old CRT type!
The hot water was either scalding or tepid, (depending on how many had some before you I'm guessing).
And as for the restaurant!!! I ordered a coffee and water for breakfast one morning - it took 25 minutes for it to turn up, so never eat there after that!
But all said and done it's at the lower end of the market, but in these days people expect more and instead of taking money out of this business the owners need to invest some back in.
The killer question, Would you go back? NO.
Great rooftop, away from the noise of the city, a lovely pkacce

We loved this great hotel- had a great room (204) with lots of space, huge beds, the bathroom was excellent. Enjoyed a nice breakfast in the lovely rooftop area, and a beer and Thali for dinner.
I loved the age and authenticity of this homely, genuine hotel.
Singh was especially helpful and chatty, the staff were all lovely and the value for money excellent.
I agree with a previous review that it’s a bit dark and creepy down the lanes at night but a tuk tuk gets you easily where you want to go.
Many thanks for a great 2 nights stay here, we loved it!
