Mixed feelings. Beautiful exterior but interior needs a makeover

About 20 of us stayed in this hotel and most of us had to hike up 2 flights with our luggage. Wifi is very unstable. In fact, we could hardly get connected to the internet throughout our stay. Bedsheets & duvets are quite questionable. My friends were sending pictures of their sheets & duvet to our group chat. I refused to look at mine. If i found stains on mine, I would be asking the staff to change the sheets immediately. The room is spacious but the furniture is really old and drappy.. very rundown.
The courtyard was cozy and the rooftop has a nice hangout area provided.
Breakfast selection was limited but not bad. Esp the poori(s) served hot. The server was super charming and very pleasant. He made our stay nice by always checking if we needed anything. Staff were also very attentive but I guess the internet was out of their superpowers. Did I mention the wifi is crappy? or rather... what wifi??

I enjoyed one night at this lovely hotel at the beginning of an extensive tour through Rajasthan.
The room was comfortable and well appointed.
What stood out from me was the genuine friendliness of the staff.

Nestled in a vibrant part of Jaipur, this place takes you back in time. I had an opportunity to stay here for 4 days few months back. Fantastic food and personal care given by Hotel Management. Cant wait for my next visit.
Going back in time

We stayed here as part of a tour and were impressed with the decor, size of the rooms and very friendly staff. The building is well maintained which is unusual in India, it is located on a quite side street. It was built in the 1940s with quality fittings and has been kept up to date with aircon etc. The hallways are lined with photos from the period which add to the ambiance. We had dinner in the attached restaurant which had a good selection of well prepared meals there is also a bar. The staff are relaxed but efficient and very friendly.
Impressed my family, without any special efforts!!

After staying a decade in The USA with my family. My family and I had decided to travel to India, and we had reserved the Khandwa Haveli as our choice of hotel.
The moment we stepped in the hotel I was amazed to see the wow factor on my family's face.
The Hotel was converted from a traditional haveli, but was still able to keep the traditional touch with modern amenities within hotels.
The spacious rooms, roof top and courtyard are the few areas we enjoyed most. The design and decors were traditional, yet impressive. We wish we had more time to spend there.
All the staff was knowledgeable, polite, and courteous. The bar had a lot of choices of imported and domestic liquor and beer, though the cocktails were okay. The food was made fresh by order, and was delicious.
