First of all the location is amazing: it's amazingly quiet and the only noise i heard were the chipping of the birds in the morning! You're in the middle of a spice garden so you're surrounded in greenery. Don't worry about the steep road to reach the main road, a jeep of the hotel takes you to and from the main road whenever you need. A special mention for the service and all the activities included: morning yoga, walks in the spice garden, tea tasting, cooking experience, all of these participated to make my stay there absolutely wonderful. The staff is extremely kind and attentive and makes you really feel at home. Also the food was absolutely delicious and at a very good price. This was definitely one of my top 3 hotels of my 3 weeks stay in India. very good price. This was definitely one of my top 3 hotels of my 3 weeks stay in India.
Exceeded our Expectations

We travelled all across southern India on our honeymoon and this was by far the most professional, well-run establishment. It was such a treat to wrap up our trip here. Not only are the land and buildings beautiful, it was the little touches that impressed us, such as: The personal orientation to review all activities/treatment options; The lights being on when you first enter the room; magazines and books in the room; the customized, a la carte menu, etc. We stayed in the "tree house' room, which had a large tree trunk growing through the 2 floors of the room. The room also had a large tub (very rare in India) and a large, soft, King sized mattress (also rare!). The view from our room was spectacular. We looked right down over the spice plantation. In the morning, we heard the Malabar Songthrush, a bird whose song sounds eerily human (indeed, at first we thought it was an overenthusiastic neighbour whistling at 5:30am). We had a few massages, attended the spice walk and cooking activity, and also did a yoga session. There was a little miscommunication upon check-out about who had what massages, but that was our only hiccup. Overall, an excellent stay. Google Maps got a little confused as to where to go, so as the above address says, you'll want to park across from the Workers Recreation Centre on the main road. There are no signs for Kaivalyam on the main road (probably to deter guests from driving down the incredibly steep and winding driveway--a company jeep will come and get you and drive down your car for you.)
Amazing place to stay and forget All!

Garden is also so pretty! we did riverside tour crossing cardamon plantation
our suite was with huge with a Jacuzzi bath and a shower/ a wonderful view of the plantations and the vegetation in front of mountains.
the food was so tasty and fine with a very rich choice in the menu. the cooking course was great.
we enjoy all the facilities the resort gave us such yoga and meditation!
we also got advise from the ayurvedic doctor John before each massage we made.
the massages were absolutely perfect relaxing, healthy, professional.
The owner and his wife were so kind always looking to have a great stay in their hotel.
We definitely recommend the Kaivalyam to all whom to have an experience in an Ayurvedic retreat place.
Best place for family visit !!

You been heard hell lot of stories about Solo trip.. Couple trips.. holidays with friends but this is the story of my family trip!! And that too a family of 6 where 4 kids are quite grown up :-p and they are no more kids now (by d way I am one of that kid :-p ) and with the vegetarian traveler parents . YES!! Pure Vegetarians!!!
So this as our First Family Trip of 2019!!!
Well, me being the most vella/Vetti officer at home given the task to plan this trip. Now to take 6 differently thinking brains to one location and to make them feel happy and satisfied is the hardest job. So here is how I managed to give a most satisfying holiday to my family on budget as we belongs to Marwari family!!:-p
The one having a Papa (Father) who even bargains in Singapore’s Malls , you can imagine the pressure to choose the budgeted holiday here.
Yes , the first and most important thing was to go with budgeted holiday wo bhi for family of 6.and that made me choose the location near to our home so that it should not expense much on transport .I stay in a place called Tiruppur in Tamilnadu . And with the help of the bloggers and travel communities I found a place called Munaar. Luckily none of us been traveled to this place (yeah my whole family is a traveler and we been traveled from al lot states and countries like Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, Kolkata , Singapore ,US, Kenya ) so keeping all that mind we finalized Munaar .
I must stay Munaar is “God’s own country “in real!!!!Such a beautiful place it is!!!!
So yeah we choose to go by our own Ertiga which cost us very less:-p as it cost only the petrol charges to us. Then the real big things were to get a Pure Veg place in Kerala. That was the real pain. But then after a long research google helped me with nice resorts.
It was soooo good!! It has lot of activities included like trekking for us (the grown up kids ) Meditation for my parents and the most important is vegetarian food !!!!
So on the way to Munaar we stopped for a tea break to most stunning waterfalls, and then we reached to the resort.
As it was our first experience in tree house, we were actually stunned with view and the cleanness.
And hospitality from Kaivalayam Retreat is much appreciated. The best part was the welcoming drink.
You may reach me for the detailed itinerary.
Wonderful Spice Garden

Wonderful garden retreat. You have your own villa with balcony in a most beautiful cardomom plantation. Secluded far from the road and other housings. We enjoyed the sounds of the forest in the evening, discovering plants and spices during the day. Both, excellent ayurvedic treatment and yoga. We enjoyed the very warm welcome and hospitality. We certainly will come again.
