Visited here for a 2 night stay. Bed was very small but was comfortable. Food was lovely. The staff are all very nice. There are 3 dog friendly rooms. The hotel is advertised as dog friendly but you are usually unable to take your dog in the area where breakfast is served. Because we were the only people staying the first morning we were allowed & the second morning the staff asked the other person who was having breakfast did he mind & he didn’t ! That is the only downside.

We stayed at Gilpin Bridge Hotel for 2nights with Leo our German Shepherd. Staff amazing, atmosphere great, room (Windermere) fab. Food & breakfast yummy. The Inn is central to all of Lake District. Will be back.

The Gilpin Bridge is a v good Pub /Restaurant/Rooms stop over.
Easily accessible with a large car park. The whole place is being very well care for /presented. Spotlessly clean throughout. Staff are all v friendly and helpful.
It is doggie friendly - they welcome dogs in here.
Food is good - a wide choice - all cooked on site and v reasonably priced.
Everything works like clockwork - always a sign that staff are happy and things are being well managed.
Highly recommended as a Pub meal/Room stopover AAAAA
large portions of food

Called in here as it was recommended by a local campsite owner. We seemed to have caught them at a busy time around 6.00 p.m. on a Thursday evening. Our order was taken and our drinks arrived, but we had to wait quite a long time before our food was served, couples who arrived after us were served before us. The food was piping hot when it arrived and the portions were very generous. Shame we were too full to try any desserts.
Good Overnight Stay

Stayed here for a one night stop off with friends. Easy to find and staff were all friendly. The room we stayed in looked like it had been refurbished recently so was absolutely fine. The only real issue we had was we both found the bed a bit small.
