    We were 7 collage friends with family gathering there from 10may to 14may. During the selection of the property, I have been given the task to arrange an accommodation for all which suits the taste and budget of every one. I did thorough research and choose this property which have good reviews, looked good and in our budget range. Pros : Good location - 3-5 mins drive to beach both Calangute and Baga Good Food - Resort offers good breakfast Food quality is good. Good staff - Staff behavior was very friendly Rooms are spacious with good wifi connectivity. Good Parking space. Cons. 1. very averagely maintained swimming pool very dirty and has broken tiles at the bottom and sides, water in pool was heavily chlorinated. 2. One friend fall down in a bathroom and was bleeding so we called reception for a doctor but the said it's not possible and suggest us to go near by hospital. 3. They have a limited menu and very few dishes in Indian main course for vegetarians.... More

    Don't be fooled by the ratings

    The hotel doesn't deserve a 4 star rating. They have constant power outages and there was no water in the toilets for a few hours . The Ac wasn't cooling the room enough to feel comfortable in the scorching heat. The bar is not very well stocked though they have mentioned various brands on the menu most of them are out of stock.The pricing is very attractive but that is the case with liquor in Goa. They have a limited menu and very few dishes in Indian main course for vegetarians, paneer which we ordered was not at all fresh and pakodas were average with less salt. The buffet breakfast was good enough. Cleanliness of rooms was good and the hotel was very clean and neat. They offered room cleaning service before 5 pm and the staff cleans the room in your absence. We were skeptical at first to hand over the room keys for cleaning in our absence but they are very honest and professional people. They did not touch our belongings, they cleaned our room and restocked the toiletries and left. The negative is that the staff is only courteous and polite till the time you are paying for the room. The day you are going to check-out they treat you as if you are a burden to them. I will advise against going to this place as the staff will spoil your mood and ruin your holiday experience on the day you are supposed to leave. So instead to leaving refreshed after a holiday you leave with a headache. The reason we rated so low because when you are on holiday and in summer vacation you need a good air conditioned room and ample of water in your washroom, which was not the case here. Also as mentioned above the check-out incident, when we specifically informed them a night prior to check-out and cleared all our dues, we had just asked for 30 mins extra and the front desk in-charge on duty had agreed and assured us that it was not an issue and we could check out by 10.30 am. Their staff called us 3 times in 10 mins the moment it was 10:00am (check out time) also they sent someone to our room to ask us to leave. Our issue here is if you don't want people to stay back why even agree to a prior request and then create hassles the next day. They should have directly denied the request and we would have left before 10 am. After asking for an explanation the staff began to argue and behaved very rudely that too when the issue was just of 30 mins thus ruining our holiday experience.     Good hotel with close proximity to Baga and Calangute

    This hotel is 1.6 kms from Calangute and 2 kms for Baga. If you have kids with you then it's not a walkable distance :) Rooms are neat but not very spacious. Hotel staff is courteous and room service is also good. Their is a play area for kids where kids can burn off their excessive energy. They have buffet breakfast which is ok, not that great, just ok. Food here is below average not that tasty, i chose to dine somewhere else.... More

    what a wonderful hotel....family friendly excellent staff a must on a budget but you wouldn't think you were on a budget holiday..please give this hotel a chance and I promise you'll go back again and again... More

    Very good hotel and convincingly located. Stayed there with family for five days. Food is not good but breakfast buffet is spreader and tasty. Room Service is also very good and Staff is very cooperative ... More

Joia Do Mar is a boutique hotel located near North Goa's most Baga and Calangute beaches. The hotel also provides airport transfers and free WiFi.   5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out.   10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
