    A Peace of Mind and One of the Best Hotel in Goa!

    First of all ,I thank Mr.Johny who is an wonderful host and helped me with a big lit room and with a view to the sea. I wished I could meet him but he did everything through mobile and I faced not a single problem. I came from Paris and have some writing assignment to do and no place is ideal than this hotel. No one will disturb you and always you can listen to the roar of the sea. It is beautiful to listen to it when you write in night and hear the waves! Beach is just 2 mins away, Calangute with all it's buzz and shores but this hotel is amazingly silent. The 2nd Floor corner room is great. Only thing I wished that the restaurant should be working, now closed for the monsoon. Met Maria too and she is also very helpful. I look forward to come back there and stay for a long time! ... More

    Rock hard bed, no hot water, ant infestation & terrible laundry service

    We arrived here on recommendation of lonely planet and it turned out to be completely wrong. We planned on staying for three nights but checked out after only one. When we arrived back in the afternoon after a day out we found we had no hot water. When we asked what was happening they said there was a man coming to fix it and were supplied with a bucket of warmish water. When we woke up in the morning and there was still no hot water we said we were going to leave and they offered us another room saying the hot water issue was only affecting a few of the rooms. It was a shame this wasn't offered to us when we first complained the night before or if it that room wasn't avaliable at that point it could have been offered in the morning when there was still no hot water if they knew there were other rooms without the issue. We also found an ant infestation in our room later that night with ants crawling everywhere. It wasn't just a few ants there were loads. It was late so we sorted it ourselves by plugging the hole the ant's entry but when we told the hotel the next day they just said it was probably a sweet had been dropped from the family before us. This made us think they probably didn't clean the rooms properly between guests and was worrying they didn't care more. The bed we had was a really thin mattress and was rock hard as were the pillows. We had an extremely uncomfortable nights sleep. As we decided to check out we heard alot of building work happening which if you want to spend a relaxing day (in your ant infested room) it would have been ruined by the loud noise. We werent informed about this when we checked in. Finally we had handed in some laundry the day we checked in. We came back to collect it once we had moved out and once we got it back we found it was still wet and still had dirt and smells on it. Most other laundry services are less than 24 hours. They had longer than this and didn't even clean the items just made them damp. We had to do our own washing in our new hotel and we had paid 300 rupees for wet clothes! All in all we didn't like it here and would definitely not recommend it.... More

    My fondest Goa memory

    I loved staying in Johnny's Hotel. It's a budget place to spend a few nights when you are in Calangute. The location is perfect, about 3 minutes walk to the beach and yet it's rather quiet inside, so you don't hear the night parties at the shore. It is run by a lovely family: Maria, John and their son Ryan. I loved every minute I stayed there and will perhaps come back. The hotel has a cozy little restaurant with great food. The town is just nearby. It would be even greater if there was wi-fi in every room. Right now it's only downstairs. Johnny's Hotel is my fondest Goa memory.... More

    We stayed here this December and January. The price and location is why I would stay here again when visiting Goa. It is close to Calangute beach and the in-house restaurant is convenient for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. The staff are friendly.   2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
