Relaxing break in perfect surroundings
on Dec 23, 2017
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this wonderful resort .Our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool , clean comfortable and excellent air con .Yes there is a wait for your room but it is not the hotels fault that flights from the uk arrive early in the day .we made some fantastic friends , Sanjay , coconut , pebble ,joel you know who you are they could not do enough for us , treated us like kings through out our stay . Yes the beach is a 20 min walk away but the hotel jeep is on call all day til 10pm could not fault it .There a several excellent restaurants within walking distance but the food at the hotel was very good , if you want bacon egg etc for breakfast you only have to ask !!! The local wine sula was pleasant enough but if you want hardys or jacobs creek it is expensive !! The xmas decorations were amazing only wish now we had stayed on longer . Hopefully we will be back soon .
Quite disappointed overall

When we arrived after an overnight flight from UK we were surprised by the unfriendly staff at reception. It was 9am and we were told quite bluntly that check in was from12 o'clock. We were not offered a room to shower or even told where the toilets were. Once we got our key at 12.10 no-one offered to take up our luggage or show us the way even though we were in the annexe next door (Majestic Palms). Wifi charges are ridiculous. Every beach shack offers free wifi. Actually the room was very nice, spacious and clean with a good room safe. The bathroom and shower were good but no hot water in the afternoon/evening.
Our main disappointment was the distance from the beach, 20 minutes along a boring road, which is dark at night. There is supposed to be a regular shuttle but there is no schedule and it is very hit and miss whether you get it. Its a 6 seater jeep, not useful when 10 people turn up at 9.00. The closest area of beach has a few shacks but it is a long walk across a desolate area with dogs to get to the more beach where there are plenty of beach shacks.
Breakfast is awful - an unchanging buffet with very loud music playing. Only the eggs are good. Bread and pastries dreadful. There are some strange offerings for breakfast, eg stewed chicken livers. Maybe that appeals to the Russians who are 75% of the clientele. Most of the signage is in Russian, especially for the evening entertainment. We did not eat at the hotel other than breakfast.
The two pools are very nice as are the gardens but the pool in the Majestic Palms does not have enough sunbeds (about 8 in total). As there is no towel card system used, wet towels are left on sunbeds and it is impossible to know if they are in use or not.
There is a taxi mafia operating outside the hotel. If you want to be picked up by taxi at a decent price you must arrange collection away from the hotel.
The general appearance of the hotel is dated and a bit shabby.
A break after the Golden Triangle Tour

We decided on Joecons because of the location, we wanted to stay away from north Goa as we wanted a rest and had heard that the north is "Party Central". Joecons is a lovely spotlessly clean hotel of 120 rooms, with a great restaurant, two good pools and great staff.
The staff are all very friendly and caring with big smiles, rooms are good and well serviced, Benaulim beach is about 800 meters walk away, Joecons beach shack is at the end of the lane on the beach (it's great, food, drinks and staff brilliant) if you don't want to walk you can get a free shuttle Jeep down to the beach from the hotel. There are some clothes and souvenir shops on the lane that are run by lovely but very persuasive lady's. We would definitely stay at Joecons again.
Awesome feeling in Joecons hotel.

It was a memorable stay in Joecons.
It is one of the beautiful hotel & Resort in Goa. The staff members were very humble and felt very comfortable with their gesture. Secondly the food is excellent.
They celebrate your special day in a grand manner which made my visit to Goa much in my good memories.
Excellent place to have leisure time. Value for money

Resort is spacious clean and neat. Well maintained rooms, 2 good pools and nice garden restaurant with nice cultural programs during dinner. Food is served yummy and with good quality. I don't taste non veg food as I am pure veg, but believe would be even better than veg items as sea food is famous in goa. Good spread of varieties for breakfast too. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and missing it.
Nice activity center with well maintained board games facility. People are so friendly and courteous and provide excellent service. You ask for any room service and they provide immediately. Beach shuttle was mentioned for every hour but provided on demand which is good. Joecon's beach shack service is also good.
1. Vegetarian menu is limited. I would suggest to improve it at par with non veg items. 2. Please also try to make space for badminton court and outdoor games like lawn tennis etc., which would be even more attractive and encouraging for guests.
Overall, it's value for money and we had a pleasant stay at the resort and wish to comeback. Thanks to all staffs for making our stay memorable and keep up the great work.
