At least the hot water and Wi-Fi work very well, the room doesn't not stink. (one of our rooms) Room 409 air con is not working. Not exactly a family accomodation but the room size is decent. ...     Budget hotel in busy shopping area

    It's a cheap Budget hotel in busy T Nagar area of Chennai. It looks OK, but after checking in you would notice that something or the other is broken in the room. Sometimes Intercom phone wont work, sometimes AC stops, sometimes TV, etc. You need to ask the "Room Service" guys to fix. Most of the times they fix it, but some things they may not be able to fix. Usually they change the room if something is not fixed. Ask for room change if anything is not fixed. Only few car parking slots and its a sort of open parking. Room boys are courteous and helpful but many of them cant speak English. I stayed solo for few days and for that price, the hotel is OK.... More

    Rooms are small and the a/c makes sound, but the location is excellent for shopping. Many good Restaurants around the area so you can select a best place to eat. If you are a budget traveller... you have nothing to complain.... More

    I have been staying at JJS guest house from 2010 during both my official and personal trips to chennai and the guest house has served all my needs. The place is located in the hot-spot of chennai which is the biggest advantage for people who are new to chennai ... In regards to the rooms it's very comfortable with good mattress, AC and LCD tv with set of box... To add more to the comfort the place has got 24 hrs power supply and 24 hrs check in and check out facility ... The only area the place has to improve on is it's room service and travel desk facilities... In regards to the tariff the cost is affordable and reasonable to what we get to use... Over my experience with JJS guest house has been good and we get value for our money ... ... More

    I have been coming and staying in this Guest House since its inception days in 2002. It has steadily grown and used to be wonderful until 3 years ago. After 2010, it has started declining in terms of cleanliness, workers conduct, pricing. I feel the owners are not taking much care of it after making money out of it, and left it to run by the unprofessional workers. Do not clean the rooms properly, very rotten smell, and I would say it was horrible experience of worst kind, and I could not tolerate and have to run away from it in the middle of the night. The pricing they have published on their website is not correct, they are playing with it by categorizing all rooms as Deluxe rooms, but they vary in the standard. When I asked the reception to show me the ordinary rooms, the kind of smile on their face is an evident that they are clearly misleading the public. I am very sure that some of the rooms are not at all livable condition, yet they are categorizing them as "DELUXE" rooms and charging accordingly. The staff at reception are highly unprofessional, and If I may say further, "UNDESERVED" with hollow mind. My suggestion for the prospective candidates seeking accommodation at this Guest House is, please STAY AWAY.... More

  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience.   10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
