    Stayed one night after on way home from holiday, having stayed here before. The hotel is great place to stay, beautifully decorated and inviting. Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble, hotel manager was very helpful and dealt with our check out in a very friendly manner and dealt with a minor problem we had with breakfast in a very generous way.     Nice, quiet and central

    Just returned from our 2 nights stay in the hotel. Position is perfect, close to center but a quiet place. Less then 10 minutes to the Royal Mile and the same in the other direction to the Holyrood Palace (just head to the Burns Monument then across the beautiful old cementrery down). Our room was nice, clean with 2 windows. Bed a little bit too soft but OK. Just one thing: 2 small radiators and one of them was absolutly cold, not working, there was quiet cold in our room.... Bathroom: Well, a little dated, shower curtains (sorry, I hate them!) should be changed to glass wall and the ceiling had leaks damages all around (top floor room). A renovation here would be nice. We really liked the lobby and the good whiskey selection. Staff at the reception desk is always kind and helpful, really nice persons! Breakfast: That was a bit disappointment: As we booked room only we indicated the day before that we would like to have breakfast next mornig. No problem, just go to the bistro (connected inside the hotel floor). OK, at 9 am as we went down we were told there is no table available we had to wait 15-20 minutes. There were already 3 other couples waiting for a table in the lobby. Looking at them and the full restaurant we supposed it could be even more, so we left without having breakast. At least in such case a cup of tea could be offered.... If we would have paid the breakfast in advance that would be annoying just to wait when you already planned your day. So we have read about the delicious breakfast but we could not taste it! All in, it is a good hotel and we were satisfied with our stay, Edinburgh is beautiful and a unique city, would happy to come back. But that problem with the breakfast tables availability should be solved. I never ever experienced in a hotel that there are more guests then tables available!... More

    Visited for a two night stay with a friend. Some parts rather quaint but has a charming ambience. Refurbishedentrance/bar/reception area has lovely decor. Dinner in bistro was good and lots of choice at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Really quiet location despite nearby busy roads. Would visit again.... More

    Would full recommend this hotel, we stayed for 3 nights in a very comfortable room . The staff were very helpful and the accommodation was clean and very tidy. The lounge bar was warm and friendly. The location is fist rate being close to the centre but in a very quiet location. Could not fault it and will stay again if in Edinburgh.... More

    Fantastic hotel, location and staff .

    We stayed for a long weekend at this excellent hotel ,it was very clean ,lovely deco and our room was lovely .The location is great easy walking distant to most things ,it was 5 mins from Waverley station .The staff were very friendly and helpful ,we had dinner one night in the restaurant which was excellent ,the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice .We had several drinks in the cosy lounge after trekking around Edinburgh before we went out and when we got back for a nightcap ,lovely choice of Whiskies .Would definately recomment this hotel and hope to visit again .We had an amazing time in Edinburgh and made extra special by staying in such a wonderful hotel ,Many Thanks...   4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
