EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY AT PURI
on Nov 11, 2017
Stayed with wife on from 26/10/17 to 28/10/17.
Location :Excellent location close to the the beach. Beach front is only about 20 meters from hotel gate. bout 3 kms from Lord Jagannath Temple away from crowded city center. As four wheeler are normally stopped about 2 kms or more from the temple area, pedal rickshaw / auto rickshaw is most commonly used means of transport while visiting temple or nearby markets. We used pedal rickshaw which charged Rs. 60/70. Puri Golden Sand beach area is about a km. However, it is very crowded in the evenings and quite dirty as there are hundreds of stalls on the beach itself. The Beach near the hotel is much cleaner and not crowded. Lovely in the early morning and evening.
Property : Well maintained property. Has fully sea facing / partly sea facing rooms. Rooms have balconies with a view of the sea. Very useful for a peaceful sit out in mornings and late evenings. Clean bathroom.
Service: Great Service. Courteous Staff. Prompt attention to guest's needs. Tea/coffee making arrangement available. Refills are quick and generous. Provides 1 bottle of packaged water per guest per day. Mini fridge provided in the room – but was not cooling enough.
Restaurant : Good veg/non-veg restaurant with pleasant ambiance. As we are vegetarians, we had only vegetarian food. Reasonable variety in breakfast spread South Indian/ North Indian/ Continental / Eggs all available. A-la-carte lunch / dinner quality was very good. Quantities were quite substantial. Cost was very reasonable. Food costs same for restaurant and room service.
All in all a great experience. Recommended for anybody looking for a peaceful comfortable stay away from hustle and bustle of city area.
Good view, good rooms - staff lack efficiency, but are courteous

Though the title of this review says 'Very Good', actually it is Good better than Average.
Good hotel located on the beach without any barrier in front. It is a family hotel. Rooms have clear open sea view. Rooms in the front side have veranda where sitting out is fun and enjoying the mighty sea offering gorgeous view.
The hotel is located at the end of a road leading to the sea. It has a beautiful green lawn - - very soothing to the eyes. But because on the left hand side of the road, after the hotel there is a vacant place where all sorts of cars and buses park, clean and their staff uses the 'Sulabh Souchalaya', in the morning and late evening there is some noise. Not huge but one would prefer not to have that. Of course the hotel is quiet.
The staff are mostly local and well meaning. But they lack training - hugely. They want to give the service but don't have any training whatsoever to do their job better.
During our stay, two transformers busted, one after another! Yet, the hotel arranged for extra generator and there was no problem for 'pani and bijli' through out this period.
The staff in the dinning hall had no idea how to handle pressure, particularly during the breakfast. Quite a few of them move around lackadaisically and aimlessly. When told to do something they take their time to move. The supervisors of course tried their best.
The food is ordinary, nothing to mention specifically.
Yet, just for the sake of sea view one may go to this hotel and check in in the front block rooms (upward first floor).
A Diwali vacation worthy of remembrance!!!

We checked in this wonderful hotel on the 19th of October 2017 to celebrate a Diwali without any crackers. And we got just that!! The first thing that comes to mind when you think of this hotel is its pristine location. It is located far from the noisy main beach area(Swargadwar) and is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. The beach is just a minutes walking distance from the hotel. The beach that is adjacent to the hotel os pretty clean and is perfect for sun bathing and the famous Puri sea bath. We took the sea facing Deluxe room. The room was top notch. Not only was it spacious but it was also well furbished. It had an attached balcony that had a breathtaking view of the sea!!!
The staff were very courteous and helpful. The food was delicious as well.
All in all we had a splendid time and would surely return here!!!!
Perfect for a short stay..

Stayed here last month, not too far from the puri temple (10 min) and the Konark temple (40 min)..perfectly away from the crowded beaches..has a nice clean beach right in front..we booked the sea view rooms..neat and tidy and great view..clean bathrooms- decent fittings..the in room dining was very reasonable and food was satisfactory..the breakfast was also good with staff taking special care of ur needs..in general the staircases and sides of the garden were slightly unkept..else the hotel had all tick marks for a decent short stay with a great beach location..
Personalised care and excellent service

Jamindar's Palace is located at a comfortable distance from Puri's main attraction the temple of Lord Jagarnath. It's a stone's throw from the beach with most of the rooms having an excellent sea view.
The service of the hotel staff is excellent and the quality of the food is superb. The rooms are spacious, clean and well ventilated. The swimming pool is an added attraction which made our stay both interesting and memorable.
Its money well spent and we had a wonderful stay there. Highly recommended for a holiday. Special mention of the safety factor as we were an all girls group.
