Nicely located, budjeted

It was a family holiday stay, i Booked thru OTA, paid extra for early c/in at 7am. Hotel was unaware of it. I spoke to Mr.Imran at 5am while traveling he then arranged a room for early c/in. After c/in i found a room was in very bad condition needed complete renovation. Sepage was clearly visible on every wall with very bad smell. After speaking with Mr.Imran he said i booked a ... Category so i can't get a better room. After urging that room is dirty he asked me for more amount to shift. I paid extra just to have a cleaner room with no other choice. Next room was really nice and cleaner. I would have been more happy if they would have understood that no one could be happy in a room with sepage and it's smell in it. Food, location and room with red cushion is really nice and clean. Hot water was a boost. Thank u Imran and all other staff.
Unhygienic, terrible service and disgusting management
on Jan 18, 2019
My friends and I hired three rooms for one night at the hotel and it was one of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed at. One room had dust filled blankets which gave the guest allergies. The other had a toilet that stank and when asked for toilet paper, the girl provided us a soaked toilet paper roll. The quest however, was yet to come.
At 2 am in the night when we dispursed to our rooms to sleep, we found an empty condom packet within the blanket of the third room. Disgusted, we entirely abandoned the room and somehow managed in the other two. After having had an extremely tiring day, we decided not to flag this to the management at night which was sleeping as well.
The next morning, when we.complained to the manager, not only did they refuse to take any responsibility but also accused is of having planted the packet.
To make matters worse, the manager threatened to pay a visit to the house of our host (who lived in Jaipur itself), and whose address he had from our IDs.
Do not make the mistake of staying at this place
Great value for money

We had three nights stay at the Hotel Jai Palace. For the price you pay, we thought this was good value for money. We had a nice spacious room with air-con and a private bathroom. The room itself could have been a little bit cleaner (just the corners of the floor were dirty) and the bathroom was the same - just needed a bit more attention paying to it. However for the price we didn’t expect it to be spotless.
This hotel has a couple of bonus points though: it’s close to the station (8 min walk, so don’t let tuctuc drivers fool you that it’s 5km away!) although it isn’t super easy to find and no one seems to have heard of it. For info, it’s opposite the OYO 13643 Hotel Maharaja Palace if you do want to get a lift. The second gem is the restaurant. Located on a rooftop terrace, like everything else in India at this price range, it could do with a bit of a clean, but the food here is excellent. We’ve had the best Indian food here so far in our trip (2 weeks in), especially the Kaju curry (roasted cashew nuts).
Reception staff speak pretty good English and the rest of the staff are pleasant even though theirs isn’t great, but we’re well aware we are in their country so any English they know is a bonus!!
We’d recommend this place, and will stay here again when we return to Jaipur.
Summary: close to station, great food, decent rooms and cheap!
