As part of a tour round the Golden Triangle, we spent 2 nights in this homestay. It is a charming house in a quiet suburb of Udaipur. The owner welcomed us and showed us to our room. It was at the top of the building and had a lovely roof terrace. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and well laid out.
His wife gave us a cookery demonstration and we learned how to cook chapattis properly and a delicious curry made with lentil pappadums.
There was an excellent choice of food for the evening buffet and breakfast.
All the staff were very helpful and we are particularly grateful to the manager, Jonny, who went to a lot of trouble to help us get to a shop selling authentic pickles.
Lovely gem of a place

Ikaki Niwas is tucked away in a quiet area of Jaipur. We were welcomed by Johny who was very friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic, on the top floor with a balcony area. Breakfast was very good. All round great place to stay!
Fantastic place, best stay of our trip, homely and welcoming

Loved this place. In our tour of N India we tried to stay in homestays and small hotels to get a more personal experience, and this was the best. It's a homestay - owners live on the premises - but it has hotel-like amenities such as a tiny plunge pool - most refreshing, nice terrace sitting areas, and bar service. Our room was large and the en suite was nice. Bed very comfortable and the air con was quiet and efficient - the best of our trip. Breakfast was lovely, choice of personally cooked or buffet items, and all done fresh. We could not eat there one night as they had a cookery class booked, so you need to check if you want an evening meal, but Jaipur is a lovely city with a lot of choice so we were fine. It's in a quiet place next to a park but not far from the city. Staff were friendly and efficient, and service items (we had laundry done, and drank beer and wine from the service) were extremely good value. I'd have loved to stay longer, and would recommend.
A Home Away From Home

My experience was amazing! The staff takes great care to make sure your visit is pleasant. The food is traditional, the housekeeping does not disappoint, & the people are so welcoming! The location is ideal. You don't get all of the noises of town but you are not far from the city. The hotel is quaint & by the time you have to leave, you feel like you're leaving your new family. I highly recommend visiting Ikaki Niwas to everyone.

Our stay at Ikaki was the most amazing and comfortable experience. I felt completely at home here. The staff here is so friendly and the service is outstanding. The meals are delicious. We were not disappointed by any of it. Friendly smiles, awesome vibes, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food makes puts this place above all the rest. Ikaki is my top pick, I will not stay anywhere else in Jaipur!
