Kayak! Beautiful rooms
on Oct 30, 2019
It is beautifully perched on a hill slope. Great food, great rooms and the kayaking was the best part! Anand made sure we were looked after.
Go there if you want to escape city life.
PS - The last part of the drive to reach the place is tricky
Horrible experience - will never visit this place again!

My cousin and her husband had travelled to this place just a year back and had an excellent experience there. This experience was exactly the reason that compelled us to travel with our family there. But, it appears that the service has seriously deteriorated now.
First, let me mention the positive reasons why I gave two stars. This place has a great location (right in front of a dam) and offers adventure activities like kayaking, archery, etc. There are wooden cottages available on a hill and overlooking the lake. There is no wi-fi and decent phone range, so it should be a nice place to relax and enjoy.
Now, let me share the horrible experience faced by me and my family. Although, the package that you pay for covers evening snacks, dinner and breakfast, we had requested to arrange a lunch (veg + non-veg) for our group. We reached a little late (around 3 p.m) and were very hungry. Much to our surprise, there was no non-veg food arranged and the veg food was of poor quality. We thought the evening snacks would be a little better, but they had made oil-dripping french fries with tea. Then, we left for doing kayaking on the river which was fun and a memorable experience.
There is a DJ room on premises where they play loud music to enjoy and dance. The owner (Lalit) was busy entertaining his friends by playing songs of their choice and also arranged food and drinks in that room. They were playing old Hindi songs which is good to listen when you are drunk but you just cannot dance on it. When one of my family member requested the DJ to play a particular new song, he refused and said that the song being played is the last song of the night. We were pretty upset and left the room. However, they continued playing old songs and Lalit & his friends kept dancing.
The quality of food at dinner was pretty ok-types. They had kept just one veg (paneer mutter curry) and one non-veg dish (chicken masala). So, if you are a vegetarian and don't eat paneer, then you have to be content with jeera rice & dal. Just to share, they had made paneer in the afternoon as well.
When we went back to our cottage, the light in one of the bathrooms was not working. So we had to ask the reception to arrange for an electrician to rectify the issue. He took around 20-30 minutes to fix the problem. When we went to sleep after midnight, one of the senior members in our family "accidentally" lifted the pillow to spot lot of moths and eggs of some insect there. That level of hygiene just pissed us off and we decided not to sleep in that room. And, all members adjusted to sleep in another room and the mattresses provided in the upper loft area.
Morning, when we went to the bathroom, we saw that the bucket provided was very very dirty and there was a visible thick layer of dust/dirt coating it. So, we couldn't use that bathroom as well...
We shared our complaints with the manager and he casually mentioned that it is a jungle area and such things can happen there. Rather than acknowledging our problems, they kept beating around the bush to justify why these things happen.
We had come to this property after a great experience in another place at Mahabaleshwar. This last day experience just made all of us pretty upset... Overall, a disappointing and horrible experience that all of us would like to forget.
Fantastic hospitality in a resort that runs like a family for families in a setting that spells bliss!

My family ( wife, two boys, 17 and 10 ) went last weekend as we wanted a day to enjoy the monsoons in a crisp environment and wow, what a place ! Overlooking the Dhom dam, this place is truly a stunning piece of what resorts should be. A superb natural waterfall to sit under and enjoy the crazy cold splashes, kayaking a stones throw away, a restaurant that serves great food, accommodation that is just perfect ( and yes, with instant hot water ) , a party hall that lets you unwind at the end of the day, and views around the resort that are just breathtaking. And not to forget, the associates who run the resort truly have hospitality in their blood..a great place to go now! And thankfully, no wifi and TV's :-) Our kids, who are reluctant outdoor guys loved this place and yes, we will be back for sure !
Amazing place for group outings

Food and ambience is great. Service at par with the pricing. Offers activities like Kayaking that adds more value to your experience in the beautiful valleys of Mahabaleshwar region. Had a great time on my short visit to Icamp
Adventurous weekend getaway

What a brilliant place!!! Set in wooden cottages, surrounded by tree, on a hill and overlooking the lake. It's absolutely amazing. The place orders good, clean and spacious rooms with air-conditioning. Common areas have swings, hammocks and sit outside made out of used tyres overlooking the nature. There is sufficient place to play around for kids. And the restaurant offers sumptuous meals and brilliant bbq (on request). Don't miss the morning trek where they take you up in the hills. The view from the top is stunning and the trek is a bit of adventure too. Later on, they take you for water sports at the lake. With practically no one else except the resort guests, it's quite a private experience. Life jackets are a must. It's amazing to swim in the lake and try your hand at kayaking not Raft building too. Evening time is well spent in the garden with bonfire, bbq and music.
All in all, it's a perfect weekend getaway to experience a bit of adventure, sports and also leisure.
Have to mention here that the service was exemplary! Hats off!!!
