Heritage Love: Well located, clean and good atmosphere

We stayed at this hotel for the kite festival and had a wonderful time. We found the check in process very easy, all you have to do is go to the main hotel, check in and they do the rest - look after your baggage and arrange a shuttle auto.
We really liked the location right in the middle of the old city, we went to the markets at night and found it easy to get transport or walk to other places. For the kite festival we were certainly in the centre of the action.
The rooms are large, bright and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
Heritage hotel at its best!

Well made Heritage hotel from an amazing 3 storied Haveli!
Keeping the interiors well maintained, the rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities.
The restaurant on the ground floor has a limited menu but everything on the menu is simply delicious! The breakfast is tasteful!
Yes, getting to the hotel is tedious and you might have to drag your luggage for some distance as well; but the area is great to stay in and you get the complete feel of the old city staying here!
At night, all you need to do is just get down and go to the Manek chowk food area and you will have a huge variety of food to select from for dinner!
All in all, it’s a nice place to stay in! Just the way to the hotel might be troublesome if you are travelling with a little bit more luggage.
Heritage hotel lousy location

The checkin is a strange process. You need to go to house of mg. there you checkin and wait for a pretty long time for a local auto rickshaw to drop you in your hotel. The hotel is located in a residential locality and the road leading to the hotel very narrow. The rooms are good , neat and furnished tastefully. The breakfast spread is so stingy . The feel is good . You will get cabs coming in only upto 9 am.
Great hotel - location bad
Nightmare... Never go there.. It is a trap house

Simply hate the service in this so called Heritage property. The hotel is located in a disgusting, dingy area near Manek chowk. Forget about cars, you cannot walk to the property in broad day light. Cow dung around the property and stray dogs with 8 ft roads... Oh it is hell. It is sickening, like one lonely haveli inside jewellers market of Ahmadabad. The hotel claims to provide dinner in their restaurant but to my shock, I discovered that they only provide snacks and they do not have any restaurant. First night after a struggle to find food and bugs on bed, I tried to adjust as I was completely occupied at work. Next evening after dinner I come back late only to see my AC stop functioning at 2 am. I call the reception and get it fixed. Tonight as I write this review at 1:11 am, again my AC is not working and again I got it fixed! Woaha... Is it a heritage property or a trap.. The guy Ambalal who is the caretaker is clueless and lie for every damn thing.. He told me that they serve dinner and later he apologized. Then today morning I wasn't served breakfast.. Seriously people beware.. I wonder how do people stay here.. It's hell.. Rooms are pretty clean and big for sure, but location and service is extremely ordinary.. So I will never recommend this hotel.

We stayed only for a night, we were on the 1st floor, room was elegant with preservation of old Haveli room but with all modern amenities. View of poll from balcony Windows were great, balcony had a sit out and a very comfortable Gujrati swing. It was raining throughout which made Streets outside more cleaner.
Place is very near to the famous night food market MANEK CHOWK.
Staff, particularly Navin and a chef, don't remember the name exactly may be Gopal were good Hosts, their suggestions, preparation and services were a glimpse of elegant hospitality.
Great stay with a real feel of era in old Ahmedabad...
