You pay for what you get!
on Dec 3, 2014
It was my first time traveling to India alone, my flight landed in Delhi at 11PM and i must confess after read so many bad reviews and experiences about people coming to Delhi alone and being scammed i was a little bit scared. It was not a bad experience since now i know what might have happened to me as a first time solo traveller in India and arriving in Delhi alone without any experience. I booked one night only at Yes Boss Hostel and after leave the airport there was a guy waiting for me with a sign Yes Boss write on it. It was like 11PM and i can tell you its absolutly impossible to find that place on your first time in Pahar Ganj New Delhi! Thank god i had someone picking me at the airport who did not cheated me and drove me straight to the Hostel. The Hostel is very very basic, no hot water and no wi-fi (the manager is a nice guy and told me at the end of the day wi-fi will be ok but never happened), a basic ceiling fan will keep you fresh while you sleep but the noise will try to keep you awake. The room is big and also the bed is big enough for 2/3 people. Basically you pay what you get, and if you are travelling alone or with a friend (male!) i will recommend this place for 1/2 nights if you just arrived in Delhi and you plan to move to different city.
I had great service

This Yes Boss (or Kuldeep hostel?) was really grest for me and my friend (men) because (long story):
My trip to India did not start well. I got scammed big time right away at the airport (READ:do not let airport taxis take you elsewhere than to hostel you have booked, no matter what the driver says!!!).
I got booking to this Yes Boss hostel but i got scammed right at the airport when I took taxi.
Driver didnt know the address even though he said so. I ended up scammed big time by multiple people that worked together... taxidriver, fake tourist info, Sisley Hotel at Delhi...
Long story really but I ended up wrong hotel because I got scammed and this Yes Boss hotel right away tried to reach me by calling because I did not show up. Then I got textmessage that 'where are you? are you at Sisley hotel? If you are, you have been scammed. Tell us where you are then we can pick you up.'
Then I realized that I got scammed by Sisley hotel and it's friends and I havent been only one.
In the end, long story short:
Yes Boss hotel promised me that if I won't get my money back from this scamming Sisley hotel thing, they let us stay there for free.
And they did. They helped to get my money back from another hotel, but it was kind of slow process and when they were ready to take police in the mix to help me, me and my friend unfortunately had been booked flight tickets and our flight was leaving in 3 hours. So did not have time to go Sisley hotel with police to get our money back (they took 80euros for 1 night for 2 persons and we did not spend more than 6hours (me), 1hour (my friend).
But Yes Boss owner prayed us to go there with police but we did not really have time for it anymore, even though he would have offered us free ride to police station and after to airport to catch our plane.
Anyway, like they promised, they let us stay at Yes Boss for free all 3 nights.
Very good service and we liked the hostel even though it was a bit hard to find! :)
Transferred to different hotel

When we arrived, we were immediately led to another hotel, about 5 minutes away (I think it was Hotel King). Thanks heaven we had little luggage, since it also was a lot further away from the railway station we had to be for an early train next morning.
Nothing of the modern decor that had allured us to book Yes Boss in spite of dodgy reviews.
When I said that I felt cheated, we were given 100 rupees refund.
The room was small, old, but bearable.
Very Rude Owner
on Nov 7, 2012
Hotel Yes Boss, New King, Kuldeep Hostel, Hindustan hostel are all under the same owner. This owner had been very rude to many of his customers. I was given a wrong type of room stated on the printed confirmation slip by hostelbookers.com. As such, I requested for an explanation and it was one of the worst excuse given. If they did not have such a room in the first place, they should not have included it as an option. There was a French couple who was registering for their stay and as they had language miscommunications with the owner, he was rude to them and called them "Crazy" and threw their passports in front of them. Having learnt French for some time, I decided to help the couple and realised that they did not understand the owner at all. I felt that the owner should not have acted that way because the couple were not telling him their problems nicely but he was just so rude to them. There are way more hotels around the Pahar Ganj Main Bazaar area.
