Fantastic for the price and location

Centrally located in Fort, lovely staff, they upgraded our room from a dorm to a double with an en suite shower and shared toilet too. Much cheaper than other hotels in Mumbai, 5 minute walk from Chhatrapati train station. 1 minute walk from Cafe Universal. Easy walk to Colaba and the Gateway to India. Would definitely stay again.
Rather a hostel after all

The superb location, halfway between Victoria Train station and Crawford Market to Colaba (although the first one is closer). Is pretty simple, everyone in the neighborhood knows Windsor Hotel and will indicate the direction to it. It is rather a hostel after all, even though the room has shower and sink, just the toilet missing. There is a balcony. Quite clean. With the staff there is no problems. There is wifi in the common rooms, although it was reaching our room (5 metres). In the morning it was quite nimble, in the evening very slow.
Conveniently, the neighborhood is full of eateries for every taste and budget. There is even a beer bar.
Decent hotel for short stay

Whenever i have some official work in fort area i stay in this hotel. Mercantile department is just two minutes walk from this hotel. The amount the hotel charge is decent enough for the AC room. Its difficult to find a hotel at this price. Don't expect much but it fulfills the minimum requirements. Breakfast is limited to just one or two options. Staff is helpful. Okay for a short official trip.
Good value room with balcony

We stayed at Hotel Windsor for one full week and loved it. Charming old building in a beautiful central neighbourhood. We had a lovely wooden furnitured room with a sunny balcony with a view to the street and a big palm tree. Welcoming and helpful staff, free good-working wifi, average but filling breakfast (make sure to go for the "Indian" option). The rooms could benefit from a throughout cleaning. All in all really good value. We will miss this place and will definitely come back if in Mumbai again.
Good basic accommodation and pleasant staff.

Cheap and in a good location- 5 -10 minutes walk from the CST (central train station) , so it is easy to get around and see the sights of Bombay. I stayed here twice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Simple breakfast of omelette and bread is a nice start to the day. I would recommend this place to a friend but possibly not for you if seeing a furry friend in the corridor (not the rooms) terrifies you. And sadly they have nowhere to lock away any belongings- but no one had any trouble when I was there and a security man at the door. Also may not be a back-packer make-friends vibe (but I still managed to have a few good conversations regardless)
