    Great experience of a heritage hotel. We were given an upgraded room. Staff friendly and helpful. Inclusive breakfast was amazing. A great experience considering I am person physically challenged and uses wheelchair. The doorways were quite narrow but manageable for a smaller person. Access to the pool isn’t possible for a wheelchair user as there are numerous steps. The lift is operating but small to accommodate a wheelchair and requires a second person to hold the door open as it’s an older style lift. ... More

    The pictures of the hotel and ratings on your website was what made us select this place and we had booked for 3 nights for a family of five. We reached the hotel in the afternoon and the staff behind reception desk, apparently from house keeping, had the most unwelcoming attitude towards our group. He gave us two of the probably worst rooms in the hotel, both on the 3rd floor. The lift was not working at the time of our checkin. We were all tired and wanting to rest after the long journey. We waited for a while for the lift to work. One of the members had a bad leg and could not walk up the three floors. When we asked the same guy when the lift would work he very rudely said that we had no choice but to walk up the stairs!! We were Appalled by his behaviour and his non- apologetic manner!! When finally the lift was operational we went to our rooms. One of the rooms was very cramped, the floor was dusty and due to clogging, the water from the shower was overflowing into the bathroom. It was a very disappointing stay for the night. The next day we asked to speak to the manager who then gave us another room but on a different floor which we accepted despite being separated from the group. They have different sized rooms but same price for all!!! The gift shop was never open for the 3 days we were there! We did ask during the time it was supposed to be open!! The senior staff at reception need training in customer service and shown how to welcome and treat guests if they want them to recommend to others or to return. Amarjit, who helped us with baggage and laundry was the only one who had a smiling face all the time and was very helpful! Surely we will not be recommending nor returning to this hotel. It’s a shame, as the hotel, as such, with its decor and interiors is not a bad place! Customer service needs huge improvement!!... More

    Misleading and Manipulating staff.

    I was put up in Jaipur at the JW Marriot Hotel in Kukas. Since it is outside the city, it has network issues and hence difficult for phones or text messages to get through. I was ment to check out from JW Marriot and check into Umaid Bhawan at around 2pm check in time. Due to flawed logistics, we got delayed and reached Umaid Bhavan at 4pm instead of the check in time. i was travelling with my wife and my son (age: 20 mnths, infant), and i had booked Umaid Bhawan as an extension to my stay in Jaipur to celebrate my Anniversary on 19 Jan. On arrival, the person on the reception very crudely informed us that they were trying to call me/text me to confirm my arrival, but due to no response, they cancelled my reservation and let my Suite out to somebody else. Mind well that i had booked the best category room available in the hotel, and my secretary also called them to confirm our stay and inform them of us celebrating our anniversary with them, dated 10 Jan. They confirmed everything as per our booking (I am currently holding the call recording of the same). For some reason (seeking higher tariff), they let our room go, after which they requested us to stay in their "Staff apartment" which was 2 buildings away, which was in a dingy scary society with no security, services and luxury of a 4.5 star hotel. On expressing my dissatisfaction to their reception staff, they showed us lowest category rooms, that were otherwise non-functional for us to occupy. on pushing further, they said that they'd get back to me after speaking with their manager. After which they demanded for more money to reallocate the suite to me. I walked out of the hotel, feeling disappointed and mislead :( Please note that i had made this reservation through bookings.com and chose "pay at property" as a payment option. I am publishing this on all OTA's so people don't experience the same dilemma i did. Never Again.... More

    Back for another stay

    Stayed for two nights at Umaid Bhawan. Rooms are a good size and hotel is ornate. Rooms are clean with water provided and great room service. Breakfast has a good selection including eggs cooked to order. Only downside was a noisy group of people staying at the hotel. Even though they turned off the music at 10.30 pm they sat on the balcony partying very loudly ( it is an open shared space )until late. Other guests were also bothered by the noise and had asked management to ask them to be quiet. Bad luck that we arrived that night. Otherwise a great place to stay and good value.... More

    The hotel is truly a heritage hotel. The rooms are spacious and all rooms have heating and cooling system. The restaurant on the rooftop is beautiful and the food is awesome. The staff is polite and professional.... More

  1. The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
