    The very first look is depressing. Peeling paint and faded colours. No one at the gate/main door to usher you in with a welcome smiie/ gesture. Perfunctorily desiigned reception of 1980s vintage . This TAVERN seems to exist in an era of its own..For some strange reason, the corridors and passages are well lit with ample sunlight; but the rooms are windowless : this creates kind of claustrophobia. The rooms are,however, tidy, but furnishings are outdated....the washrooms a tad old fashioned but functional. Gives one more of staying in a Guest House/ relatives's place than being at a professionaly managed Hotel!. There is no in-house catering ( except Tea) : meals are outsourced and so the menu is grossly overpriced... Being bang in the midst of NFC market, a plethora of eating joints all around from luxury to budgeted are a better( and cheaper) option .. the ONLY plus point is that the hotel is centrally located with gud connectivity Yeah.. the stewards and waiters did their best to make the stay comfortable :; thanks is surely due to them......Overall just a Passable hotel: just as TAVERNS wants itself to be known:: a BUSINESS hotel; where you conduct your business and stop looking for too much comfort.....     The room was great, there might not have been windows but with the heat in Delhi during summer, AC is much more preferred. The laundry people took my clothes even if it was past its time and the food was very tasty!... More

    We chose to stay at The Tavern after needing to return to Delhi as we lost a passport - we needed a place to stay as a base to enable us to do the relevant paperwork, attend meetings and relax during a stressful time. What a great place for us to choose! The staff were so attentive and helpful. They offered to help us with printing, photocopying and scanning and even let us use their computer to complete an online form. The room was huge! It had a good sized bed, coffee table, chairs, a desk and lots of storage area and surface space. It didn't have any windows, but had an AC unit and two fans. As the room was so dark and quiet it enabled to have some of the best undisturbed nights sleep we've had in two months of travelling in India! The bathroom was spacious and had a great shower with plenty of hot water. We were also given a small bag with toiletries and towels on arrival. A free breakfast was included for us which was a little small, but very tasty and delivered to our room quickly after ordering. WiFi is also free and very fast. Cannot fault this hotel at all! It was a little haven for us during a stressful time and the staff made it feel just like home.... More

    No window, no service, no nothing...

    I arrives tired , so pay not much attention to the room first. In the morning I realized ,there is no window, so want to change the room, they told me ,all room no window. Than I ordered breakfast, was many time in India ,the worst breakfast ever in India. Told them ,no hot water, so the boy came and says , there is water, I returned to him,"but it's not hot"! So, he just left, after my cold shower, before I had to buy a shampoo,... I feel refreshed and ready to check out for a better hotel, can not getting worse,.... Maybe it can :-) I would not recommend to stay here ...the service is the worst !... More

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
