    Basic but high priced

    The facilities in the room are pretty basic here but the off season prices look like peak season prices. The reception staff are top class and the travel desk quite good. The restaurant offers only North Indian food at night and the quality is unspeakable though the prices kept steep. The variety of food available is too limited to choose from. The reference to food is limited to vegetarian fare since I and my wife are vegetarians. The non vegetarian food may or may not be good. It is walking distance from Charing Cross and taht per se is a charm. The steep climb to the hotel from the road may be considered an excercise. The Rose Garden is located close by and is another charm of the location.... More

    Priced high for basic amenities

    This hotel is priced too high for very basic amenities. I was assuming for the price i paid to get a decent service - but was highly disappointed. The Executive room i had booked was on 3rd floor, with no lift. They offered a deluxe room on 1st floor (for the same price, without any compensation - because i had difficulty going up). The difference between deluxe and executive is that, the executive room has wooden flooring, whereas the deluxe has tiles (which gets pretty cold in Ooty). The room size are exactly the same and same amenities. Quite small - no place for extra mattress :-) Water bottles, given only on Day-1. Second and subsequent days - they don't offer. After giving a piece of my mind, they gave. But it feels like you have to ask for it - which is contrary to the nature of hospitality. The Wi-Fi is pathetic. It hardly reaches the room - so, don't even rely on it. Hot water in Ooty is necessary 24 hours in hotels, especially when you pay so much. But here it's rationed for 2-3 hours in the mornings and 2 hours in the evenings. Not worth it. No kettle available / no tea/coffee service (you have to pay, if you want it). Breakfast is a joke. Apparently they give Rs.150/- per person, though they gave us only worth Rs.100/- the first 2 days. But they don't tell you what it is, neither does the restaurant staff. The restaurant is 2 blocks away. They keep a track of what you eat and charge you for extra. They don't give bill, but random numbers are given. When on 2nd day i found they were charging me an exorbitant rate, i made a noise, and then they apologised and said it was meant to be Rs.150/- per person per day. 2 senior management staff gave me the coupons, and deliberately they gave only for Rs.100/-. At least the second person apologised. The first one was very arrogant and in spite of telling me i had a meal plan (breakfast), they told me i had to pay for breakfast. Overall, a lousy hotel - I WILL NEVER STAY THERE, and would never recommend for anyone wanting a decent stay. There is a school next door and the football and basketball court and students play .. and make a lot of noise in the afternoons.... More

    We went there last year in Jan. service at the hotel was decent but tariff was high for the quality of the room. We don't get hot water till about 7 AM in such cold weather. Breakfast was served as complimentary. it was decent.... More

    Decent hotel to stay but no lift

    I went to the hotel with my family for a 2 day stay it was good with good stay quick service complimentary breakfast that was good but there was no lift facility. One good thing was they have there own restros both veg and non veg you need not to go far for finding food. Good to stay could improve bit.... More

Check in Check out

Hotel Check-in Time is 12 PM, Check-out Time is 12 PM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
