Really a very pleasant experience of stay. One of the good and economical option in the city of Kolkata when you are travelling with you beloved friends or family. staff behavior was good as well as the customer service, overall a good place

I would prefer to stay at the railway station. Rooms are full with bugs 🐛, itchy bed could not sleep at all. Never stay here. Staff are a bunch of idiots. The ac is not working although they offered me ac room.
Bad hotel but friendly staff

The hotel's conditions are poor, but it is also very cheap. If you are a budget traveller, you may consider it. Our stay was ok thanks to a nice staff. The city's average conditions of budget hotels is low, we were therefore not expecting more.

I was given a tiny room for rps 500 (after negotiating down from rps 600) which is absolutely ludicrous for the size and quality of the room, but I was at my wits end already dealing with dehydration and food poisoning when I arrived. I also had to pay up front- the only place to make me do so in the four months I have been traveling throughout India. There was barely enough room for a twin bed and a bedside table. The sheets looked dirty and the staff acted put out and annoyed when I requested new ones. Ultimately, they did comply. The room also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke so I had to keep the fan on. The staff also smoked wherever they pleased. The door to the room was a sliding door, which means that it was not at all sound proof. I was awoken at 3:30 in the morning by two guests who were talking and shouting to one another. I asked them to be quiet twice, but they kept me up for two hours! By the time I was drifting off to sleep again, the staff came throught sounding like a herd of elephants to clean the room, making a lot of racket while they did so. Wifi is only available at reception, but when I got up to use it at 8, the door to reception was gated and locked. When they did open the doors, the wifi wasn't working. When I asked the staff to reset it, they said the. It's would turn it on when he arrived in "half an hour." I thought it was strange that the Internet wasn't working since my device showed full bars, but I waited...and waited...and waited. Finally the boss came and I asked about wifi. He became condescending and said that it was a network error. I said I would have to find a new place as I desperately needed wifi. He then proceeded to give me a lecture about how it wasn't his problem that the wifi wasn't working. I had planned to suck it up and give the place another shot, but after the rude encounters with the manager and staff, I decided to leave. As I was packing up my things to go, I heard them give a double room to a woman for rps 600, which also irked me because it just goes to show that they charge people whatever they feel like rather than being fair and honest.
