    Very rude..on entering my details immediate call came.wI said I m travelling on bus and would prefer to know details over chat and ended the call. But then repeated calls came which was quite disturbing.When I asked for rates over chat.. she said check it on website...is this attitude u have to deal with customers?she even blamed I was behaving rudely....I will never suggest this hotel to anyone forget booking...     False promises, dirty filthy room, very over-prized

    I travelled with family to this hotel and they provided a AC room at the very back of the hotel after charging a hefty tariff, next in the room the AC had no temperature control and was cooling too much, hence we requested them to fix the issue when we checked in, till night no one attended to the problem, late night they said nothing can be done and we should adjust, like other guests in the past have, yes ADJUST is the what the manager said. We did not sleep properly all night due to malfunctioning AC, morning when we reached out the manager about the issue he called all his staff and started scaring us and insisted that we should pay and leave. We called the owner multiple times and he was not interested to even revert or assist in this situation. He later did not receive any calls. PLEASE NOTE Most of the hotels in Puri fool you the same way, so please be very careful while checking into such hotels they are their to fool u.... More

    Shakuntala Hotel and Shakuntala Palace are separate hotels though may be of the same owner. The Shakuntala Hotel is the elder of the two sister hotels. It is located right on the Sea Beach Road while Shakuntala Palace is slightly off the road. My recent stay at Shakuntala Hotel has given me a beautiful experience of comfortable stay. The Double Bed A.C. Delux room was of adequate size with good furnishings very clean, linens and with a sea view from the room itself apart from the balcony. The staff were very well behaved and friendly. The service was prompt and cordial. Shakuntala Hotel has a beautiful dinning hall in the basement of the building. It serves only to the boarders and not open to outsiders. Orders for meals of choice were booked in advance and then at scheduled time the same were served at their beautiful dinning hall or at room. Cleanliness is undoubtedly a plus point. presently elevator is being added also yet the rates are very reasonable. The location is great just opposite the sea beach.... More

    First of all let me clarify something. Hotel Shakuntala and Hotel Shakuntala Palace are two different hotels although under same ownership. Hotel Shakuntala is right opposite to the sea beach and the palace one in an alley next to Puri Hotel. This is probably my fourth stay at Hotel Shakuntala, the difference is that this time we were traveling with my one year old daughter. Check in process was real smooth, the hotel manager as well as the assistants were courteous. The location of the hotel is fantastic. I stayed in room 302 which is a sea facing one, you actually can view the sea sitting on your bed. The room was big, with all basic amenities ( as per Puri standard). They clean your room twice a day which is pretty good. If you are traveling with your kid, the hotel helps you with all proper customized food. Very much recommended.... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 08 AM and the standard check-out time is 07 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
