We had two couples and one single on the trip. All our rooms were in the main building.
The rooms were huge. Our room had a jacuzzi tub in the spacious bathroom along with a separate standing shower and double sinks.
Restaurant and separate bar located on site in the main lodge.
We were told the location holds 65!
As we were here in January, we couldn't appreciate the lake, however the snowmobile trails were great.
We had an issue with the wifi, which is my lifeline.
However, the food was simply fantastic. An appetizer of melted Camembert with candied pecans was so salivating just to look at, the pictures do no justice. Shrimp cocktail, elk entrée and pork were all aces!! The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Nice hotel and great place to stay!

Wonderful location, in a middle of the forrest 20mns from La Tuque, with a lake where you can have water activities (kayak, swimming,...).
Great service from every person working there, with great availability.
Interesting little museum where you can see all animals from Canadian forests (wolfes, caribous, bears,...)
Away from it all and back to basics

We stayed at Club Odanak for only one night, but you really need two or three nights to really kick back. The club is a long way from anywhere and the approach includes around 13 km of unmade road, the last part of which is a snowmobile track in winter. There are rooms in three wooden buildings, which are on the edge of a beautiful lake. Be prepared for basic facilities - our room had a double bed, a single bed, two bedside tables (but strangely no lamps), a small kitchen type table and two chairs. It also had an ensuite. Everything was very, very clean but kind of spartan. There was no air-conditioning unfortunately as Quebec was experiencing a humid heat wave when we were there. There are large ceiling fans. The main building has a large dining room, and a bar. The hotel is run by First Nation Canadians, and their influence is seen around the site in teepees, trapper cabins, and a totem. All these appear very natural (not 'themed') among the forest trees around the lake. We walked through the forest to another accessible part of the shore, accompanied by one of the owners dogs. We ate a pleasant 3 course evening meal, and a continental breakfast (full Canadian is available also). There are boating and ATV activities, and possibly fishing too. The photos which they have of former guest parties suggest that they often have large groups - say, sports teams, or wedding parties. The staff were very friendly indeed and very accommodating. We would definitely visit again.
