    1 night stay at hotel the raj - 1 night too long!

    I booked this hotel through booking.com - mainly because it said they could arrange airport transfer. I emailed more than 5 times before I left UK however they never responded. In the end I used Sakha Cabs (very good). This hotel was certainly not what I was expecting. I paid 14000 rupees for 'deluxe double room' - it was of a very poor standard. No light in the bathroom, shower did not work so i washed using the tap, no hot water, tv did not work, the base for the kettle was there but no kettle, fridge did not work. It was quite dirty and I was glad I brought my 'shower flipflops'! The phone in the room worked (I had to phone to request WiFi password) as did internet, there was lock on the door and I was given 1 bottle of water. I was very glad to leave. Feel totally ripped off!... More

    It was only a day stay over there, and I found the Reception staff behaved very rude, Since we are paying for the service we do expect better behave from the Reception .. Apart from that everything were nice. Room service was good as well.. Though the bathroom were not up to mark even the windows :/ but as it was a day stay only we adjusted with the situation.....   4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
