nice stay within budget
on Jun 20, 2017
We stayed here for 3 days and I liked it here. The rooms were cheap and the service was good. The staff were very friendly and nice. We only ordered tea through room service and that was just fine. The room service staff came to clean the room and washroom everyday.
Very bad stay-

Charmless but cheap, good for back-packers.

Purohit hotel situated down the road from the bus station is the cheapest we could find out of many in the surrounding area. It was 250 rupees per night, with bathroom and television.
The place was completely charmless but it was suitable for a night or two, and we found the location was excellent for local shopping and was walking distance to the city walls and local sights.
The staff were functional but not exactly friendly. Our only complaint was that we were offered hot water buckets but they did not appear for over an hour, and were tepid when they did arrive. The place was swept but didn't look like it had seen any soap for a while, and it was overall a pretty dark building.
The double bed was actually two uneven singles pushed together so sleeping was slightly uncomfortable, but they did have more expensive 'better' rooms available. The hotel is on a road frequented by buses, so if you need peace and quiet to sleep, this place is not for you. However, I didn't notice the honking after a while, and it didn't interrupt my sleep.
For back-packers or people on a tight budget, this place is a bargain amongst over-priced basic hotels, and it serves you well location-wise, but you'd be wise to bring your own bed sheets. On the plus side, there were no cockroaches or creepy-crawlies in sight.
