Upgraded rooms are slightly better
on Dec 12, 2017
Stayed twice first time in a standard room. Clean and adequate. Small restaurant which service breakfast, again adequate. Second time had an upgraded room which was better. More room, wet room had a screen so toilet area didn't get wet. Furniture seemed newer.
Average hotel with no in house restaurant

I stayed at hotel Pooja Palace for one night.
The hotel staff is polite and helpful.
Facilities are well manitained.
24 hour hot water available.
The location is near to Karol Bagh Metro Station.
Cons is hotel do not have in house restaurant though they say they have one but they would order food from outside for you.
Breakfast was not served. When I asked why there is no breakfast, hotel management mentioned that the rooms are vacant so caterers did not prepare breakfast.
Breakfast was included in my booking so I could not get any refund.
Overall, hotel is good but only for accomodation.

I stayed at this hotel as a final day after completing an Intrepid tour. Rooms were very clean, showers were hot and the fans/air con worked. They were doing renovations on a lower level but this didn't affect my stay at all. The front desk staff were helpful. I left fairly early and the front desk is manned full time. I had a room facing onto the park and I didn't notice too much noise. Wifi worked quite well also.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel twice during our trip to India. The staff were friendly and welcoming they allowed us to leave our bicycles bags with them free of charge for 3 weeks during our trip to our India.
During our second stay they went out if their way to find us a room despite being fully booked. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere reasonably priced and welcoming during your stay in Delhi.
A great way to start your India experience

Pooja Palace is a great way for westerners to get used to India. They all speak some english, you can order a meal and have it on the rooftop, and the shower was the best we had in India. Our room was in the middle of the building, so no window, but no noise!
