    Good for price we paid

    Orchid was St Lauren earlier. However nothing much changed after change of brand. Hotel 20 minuets away from airport. Funny thing about the hotel is that every room has is different in setting. In fact one of the rooms had bath tub just behind the bed. That was so funny. Better to take a room facing river, road side could be noisy. Food was the only dampener, specially bakery stuff was bad. Gym is satisfactory. Staff is decent and prompt specially the gym caretaker.... More

    Cant rate because of Cleartrip's goofup

    Cleartrip allowed me to book orchid, accepted payment,confirmed hotel booking and then called up the day of my checkin and told me that the hotel booking is not confirmed. Cleartrip then offered to book me at a "same category" hotel. I was already on my way so had no option but to accept. The hotel I was booked into was "Hotel Paliatte" near ellis bridge. Small cramped room...While checking out from the hotel...the guy at the reception asks me for full payment of 3 nights saying cleartrip has not transferred money to them. After a lot of argument, He calls up someone and then takes down my mobile number and then says, he will let me go. Also, When I offered to pay the laundry bills and tea bills using my card, he gave me a big lecture on how using card is causing him to lose money on taxes. OVERALL, i AM NOT GOING TO HOTEL PALIATTE AGAIN. ....ALSO I AM NOT SURE IF I AM GOING TO USE CLEARTRIP AGAIN. Since i cant give my feedback without a rating, i have given average. but i couldnt stay at orchid. ... More

    Badly maintained hotel poor menu nothing to appreciate except its location. Since due to Vibrant Gujarat hotel rooms not available in Ahmedabad so had to take this hotel , need to improve a lot on all fronts. Stay here only if it is necessary... More

    Terrible rooms and very badly maintained. Staff were nice but that did not make up for the lack of maintenance in the hotel. Stayed here because it was close to the venue for my daughter's tennis tournament. Has pre-booked through web so had no choice as it was non-refundable. Unless you have no option, please do look for some place else. BTW it serve only vegetarian dishes so unless that is what you wish, it may also be a negative factor too.... More

  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
