I had gone to nevaidyam for a 4 days stay with 3 of my friends. The place is although far from the city and you might face issues with transport but the location says it all. The way to the place itself is really pretty. Also the staff is very understanding and welcoming. The food is great. Its very good for people going for a budget trip with friends or with colleagues especially.
Disgusting and shameful

Don't stay here bottom line. It's actually a homestay and not a hotel. But is not even a traditional homestay. Firstly there are no showers in any of the bathrooms. Secondly it's located 7 km outside the shimla city centre. By taxi it costs a lot to get to the property so it's really expensive. It's located in a small village, but I wouldn't say it's close to nature. It's surrounded by ugly buildings. The manager speaks broken English so it's really hard to organise transport into the city centre. There was a big tarantula spider in the corridor and another in reception. They have a fake computer in reception to make it look like a proper hotel. There's no wifi, internet. No shops nearby. There was no toilet paper. The rooms were dirty and had to ask them to clean it. It smelt damp. The reception is not 24/7, they are sometime there sometimes not throughout the day.
Bottom line don't stay here. I don't know how it had 100% on tripadvisor before this review. Probably fake reviews.

I had a wonderful stay (Aug 14) at this hotel for SIX (06) nights with my wife and my 09 month baby. Outside view was mesmerizing and hotel staff was more than eager to fulfill any of the demands. Absolute home feeling in the serene and beautiful stay in the nature's lap away from the hustle bustle of city. Hotel staff also arranged vehicle for touring (ask for sunil as your driver, very accurate). Don't forget to ask Jeet for local dishes as a part of your cuisines. Surely hope to visit again in winters. The sole hickup was that as mentioned in hotel's website, " Free pick up and drop facility from railway station" was not provided to me, I was charged 400 + 400 as pick up and drop to railway station.
