Hotel metro heights ( sometimes called metro view)
on Dec 12, 2017
DON’T under any circumstances stay at this filthy dirty rat infested dump of a hotel. I was shocked at the poor standard as it had dirty sheets filthy room. Shonky staff. Bulging electricity cables protruding out of the walls. No window in room. Fire hazard . Manager tried to get me to stay by upgrading my room by giving me clean sheets. Pubic hair and stains on the bed sheets. Smelly reception with shady men hanging around. . I booked this hotel as part of a tour with Intrepid tours from Australia. This is not a tourist hotel it’s a NO star hotel and the area. Is the worst and dangerous part of town with a market . Which I would describe as full of beggars and shady characters. As I was a lady travelling alone I felt very unsafe. Had no help from intrepid. Don’t fall for the information given when I complained saying it was a cultural shock I had experienced. This hotel is unfit for human habitation and the company saying it’s a tourist hotel.it’s not a tourist hotel it’s a nightmare! I transferred to a good hotel. If you value your heath And safety. Stay away from this area and especially this hotel.
My favourite whilst in India

I stayed for 2 nights when I arrived .
Staff friendly and welcoming , room lovely - shower bit dodgy with hot water but that was the same as all through India .
WIFI only in reception
Food was wonderful
A good 3-star hotel close to Karol bagh

We stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Metro heights in Karol bagh. It’s a good typical 3-star hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Staff is friendly and on-site restaurant food is great. Breakfast buffet is not so great, so don’t even consider buying it.
Highly rated for super-fast WIFI

Odd place but very serviceable. Has superfast WIFI but rooms with no windows. Staff fast and efficient. Room 001 beautiful but, as I said, no windows. I stayed in several hotels in Delhi in this price class and this was the best. Good location, too. Close to Anglo eats and good Indian restaurants, too. Metro not far away. Outside the hotel, it's Delhi-hectic but no problems. Recommended.
Just to sleep

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour and was only there a night.
It was the first place we stayed when arriving in India and had we had the awkward experience of the hotel attendant hovering in our room in order for us to tip him. We only had large notes, as we had just arrived, so he went away, only to come back one minute later and ask for a tip in euros or dollars instead of ruppees. We offered him pounds, as we are from the UK, which he seemed very put out by and continued to hover in the room asking if we had euros. Eventually he accepted the pounds. I know that it was a rookie error not to have change on us in order to tip, but we did find this very rude.
We room was average cleanliness by the standards we were expecting in India.
We found it difficult to work out where the main eating and shopping street were in relation to the hotel so I would advise you to look this up before hand if you want to find somewhere for dinner.
It is probably not somewhere I would have selected myself to stay at and I would probably not stay here again if I returned to Delhi.
