I called house keeping staff to clean the room they said my shift is over and i have to go. they charge me 2800 for 1 night and not gave any room service. Very Digit Hotel in my whole life... More

    We knew we had made a mistake as soon as we walked through the door. The lobby was dark, dismal and the guy behind the desk looked unclean and untidy. The room we were shown to was disgusting, damp, smelly and so revolting. There was one towel in the who,e bathroom and the windows did not close. It was a truly awful place.     First of all I am not really a picky person when it comes to hotels. I have often stayed in budget hotels around the world. But this is place is unbelievable. They scam people with the better/old images online. That's how I got trapped into this sewage. Very bad front-desk and room service. I had paid for few nights already and I could not get a refund so I was forced to stay there. There was no room-service/housekeeping, No AC, No water in their dirty washrooms, very bad quality and limited breakfast, Wifi never worked, they are doing some renovations there and random strange people were inside the hotel odd times. I was afraid of my things and passport getting stolen!! OMG it was a NIGHTMARE. When I questioned about all this bad things, they simply said "oh we are doing renovations". I am like "why the hell you scam people and give them such a bad experience". It's not that I am staying there for free I paid around $50 per night!! I really wished I never booked this hotel. The only positive thing I can think about this hotel is the location few min walk to the marina beach area. Other than than please stay away from this scammers!!!... More

    Stayed for a night though I intended staying for two. The room is substandard , the bathroom awful. The plus point is the nearness to the beach. A 2 minute walk. The other big plus is the rooftop bar. The existence of it that is. The breeze is wonderful but immediately full in the evening and occupied by only men. The service was slow but the rates not bad. The other is big plus is the very welcoming manager Mr Dublin. He's making all the difference to this quite ordinary place. ... More

    I had a nightmare in this hotel, there were rat running around for the whole night and couldnt sleep at all. The overall cleanliness is very poor. There are mosquito as well althoguh they gave some coil. The staffs were not very helpful.... More

Hotel Manhattan is set on the Marina Beach, 7 km from the Chennai Central Railway Station provides a view of the Bay of Bengal. The hotel has 26 well-furnished rooms, classified into 23 Double Rooms, two Deluxe Single Rooms and a Suite. The rooms are featured with amenities such as air-conditioner, satellite television, telephone, refrigerator, luggage rack, working table and chair and two sofas. Besides, the rooms have an attached bath with the supply of hot and cold water. Hotel Manhattan presents a multi-cuisine restaurant serving authentic Indian, Chinese and Tandoori cuisine. Guests can also dine at the pure vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor. Various other facilities provided by the hotel include room service, doctor-on-call, car parking, housekeeping and laundry services. Places of tourist interest like the Fort St. George (5 km), Theosophical Society (8 km), Guindy National Park (10 km) and Snake Park (8 km) are nearby. The Chennai Airport is 17 km while the Port of Chennai is 6 km away.


Check in Check out

Hotel Check-in Time is 24 hours, Check-out Time is 12 AM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
