    I am staying in the hotel since last 3 days and have found the hotel worst hotel i have ever stayed in. First of all during checkin i had to wait for 1 hours i.e. till 1 pm for checkin to my pre booked room. Then today as the restraunt was busy catering some private party, 1 had to wait for 2 hours to get the food delivered. At the reception everyone was complaining for something or other. Some people were complaining for non availability of electricity in their room since more than 3 hours. Some were complaining about non providing of drinking water ever after 3 calls. Such pathetic service is being provided. And the answer for every complain is "sorry sir".... More

    Majestic Grand Hotel is a great place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak so politely , which is very important it can be very difficult to find places and negotiate transport etc. without supportive hotel staff. The hotel is tastefully furnished, kept beautifully clean and the free wifi worked well in my room, allowing me to make good use of my IPad. Although you can walk to the Town / Ridge & The Mall in about thirty minutes, the location is very good there is a fresh food market near the hotel. Another good point is that rooms are beautiful well furnished with all amenities hotel has a very nice restaurant with yummy food .I can thoroughly recommend Hotel Majestic Grand as a place to enjoy coming back...     Last Option to Checkin... Else avoid

    White towels turned to be grey, no toothpaste would be provided and no soap would be provided for bath, food woud be served in Rooms after it has become colder, restaurant manager at 2000 number: that guy would argument always, must be hit with a slap first.... Only one towel per couple is given, linen worst, blankets dirty... asked for cleaner blanket got an smaller one... Monkey would enter to your room and no one would guide at the time of checkin to not to open the window and if monkey spoils your room the hotel wont have the another linen, you will have to sleep on dirty one only.. order breakfast 5 paranthas, you would get all 5 in one go and all would be colder again, service levels are worst Either you take suffocated rooms or if you take ventilated rooms you wont be able to sleep as its window is on main road and there would be full noise everytime.... Rooms are very small, interiors and washrooms are better.. Price must not be more than Rs. 1500/- but they would charge more around Rs. 2500 to 3000.. Benefit is: you will get the rooms easily even when entire Shimla is packed and easy to commuted to Mall Road and Ridge... else it is worst in all terms..! ... More

    So the first thing you have to understand about Shimla is that hotels charge a lot and give you very little (when you're traveling on a budget anyway). This hotel was in between those two things - we got a room for 1500 Rupees and it was clean and you could access hot water (a shower head was available but the hot water came from a tap so you can wash yourself with this or brave the cold shower, the other hotels we looked at didn't have a shower head at all). The wifi was only working in the foyer when we visited but the manager was always there to turn it on for us and even let us use his phone to call our dodgy travel agent in Delhi several times. Room service was fairly priced and fast. This place was a godsend after having some less than pleasing accommodation on our Indian journey so far - coming from backpackers who don't expect a lot. Thank you to this hotel for providing us with such great service we would have been lost without it. ... More

    Great location, reasonable prices, 100% service

    This hotel is located just a two kilometer walk from the city centre. The walk is beautiful. The location is perfect their are breath taking views of The Valley below. There are markets nearby, places to eat and drink less then 500m. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant, extremely reasonable prices and again impeccable service which also included room service, which suited us as we feel ill for some of our stay due to previous days staying in New Delhi. The management are incredibly helpful, they helped us to find our bus to Rishikesh and gave fantastic advice on places to visit in Shimla. The room itself was the cleanest I've experienced in india so far. There is a shower facility although it's only cold water. Hot is easily available from another tap. Would recommend staying here, 5 stars.... More

  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
