    I feel bad for saying it but...

    My girlfriend and I are currently travelling through India. Our first stop was Mumbai. We chose this hotel as it was only R2000 per night, and as we are back-packing, it was around our budget... The entrance is a bit fragile looking and the staircase up to the 3rd floor where the hotel is located looks like it could fall through at any moment. Our welcome was fine, the guys were all really nice and helpful. Which is why I feel bad for leaving this review. They are nice people, but our room was kind of awful... I know this is Mumbai, and most of the city seem to live in complete poverty, but as a traveller, it wasn't great... Our room was fine for size, and the bed was fine, any bed is fine for us really, but the noise in the room is almost unbearable... The air con or fan MUST be on throughout the night or you'd melt, but both are so noisy, with involuntary bangs every so often. The room has a fridge which is great, but has the same issue with noise. The bathroom was our main issue. The shower was just leaking water all over the place, we had buckets in there to catch it but it would overflow very quickly so that if we needed to use the toilet our feet would be immersed in disgusting water... Anything put into the sink drained down the pipe and out onto the floor. We are both very positive, upbeat people and thought that perhaps this is just India (this is our first time here) and that we were being a bit snooty, so we just dealt with it without complaining, but a few days later we stayed in a wonderful hotel in Jaipur for less than half the price we paid for this hotel, and so we felt we should write a review here, just to warn any other backpackers who are considering staying. The pictures of the hotel are so so deceiving. Also all of the staff sleep on the reception floor during the night, crowded together. This didn't bother me but it might bother some.     Nous avons choisi l'hôtel happy home pour notre voyage à Bombay Il faut savoir qu'à Bombay la vie est plus cher que dans le reste de l'Inde. L'accueil de cet hôtel est très chaleureux et souriant On a une chambre très spacieuse avec la climatisation. Dans la salle de bain un petit détail qui peut avoir son importance c'est qu'il n'y a pas de papier toilette à disposition.   2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
